thank the good lord that safety tech has gotten so good that even after such a horrific crash, he got out of it under his own power. bravo to everyone!

2:08:22 - Yes, yes they do, Shea. If you just alternate between 2 drivers, you'll end up with 3 hours in every 6 for each of them. This would, of course, mean the 3rd driver doesn't meet their minimum, but the rules have been written such that a team could run the whole race with only two drivers, at least in the pro classes where they aren't explicitly required to have more, and that includes the 4-in-6 rule.

Alright, I'm just going to say it: Turn 1 needs to be modified. The cars have gotten too quick, the track too bumpy, and the wall too close. It's getting dangerous, and something needs to be done. Whether that's allowing tire-warmers at this track only, widening and paving the runoff area, or (and I hate to even mention this) smoothing out some of the bumps, I'm not sure, but something needs to be done.

While I understand the bumps at Sebring are a huge part of the tracks character, it might be time to remove the bump in turn 1. With the speed the modern DPI's carry, it's now become too dangerous.
  • 28.05 what?!! Things are happening really really quick! There was no room for #10 and I love that team!

IMSA needs to switch places with the GTLM and LMP3 for gridding, the GTLM cars are faster than LMP3.

SPOILER ALERT FOR #31 WHELEN Engineering After everything they did, all the laps they gained back... First Nasr falls victim to a freak accident in T1 with someone rejoining the track from the pit lane because of the major bump in the tarmac in T1 that only catches you out on cold tyres due to the lower ride height. Then they receive a completely unwarranted penalty for what was a racing incident without a shadow of a doubt... I see absolutely no way how the stewards could come to the conclusion that #31 was at fault for what happened. Again, they fight like hell and simply do a cracking job on track and in the pits. And then, the car unceremoniously conks out just over 1h30min before the checkered flag. These guys pressed on despite everything going against them and have to go home without anything to show for their hard work :(
  • Im with Mr Damon on this, that lexus should never of pulled across infront, could easy of stayed on the outside, race control got that wrong.

Thanks IMSA, this was 4 days ago! Little late to the party.
  • 24:12 asking Felipe to back out there is asking a racing driver not to race. If he goes across the line to the outside, he ends up with a Cadillac up his rear end. He follows Ticknell through to help himself stay in the battle for the lead and not lose his sights on the Mazda in the lead. Hawksworth needs to have some situational awareness to realize he is in the middle of the battle for the lead and let the leaders through and not impede them. Not deserving of a penalty.

That Corvette couldve won the race if that BMW didnt slam into him. De Phillipi is dirty
