My second property tour in Penne, Abruzzo Italy. This little place has a rooftop terrace, a place to park a couple motorcycles and 1.5 baths. Would you buy this place for $35,000 dollars?

You can find your own dream home on idealista.it by just looking.

You still have to pay the agency fee in addition to the US based property consultant that you are referring too. They are charging you the 3.5% for all the negotiation and what not with the agency and the vendor. I went with a company just like this and had a very unfortunate experience- so very very well. I learned a lot and loss a chunk of money but am not closing on a dream property in Puglia.

Personally, I wld also wait for the one and…embrace the US broker option. Just fyi: off topic, if you buy stone home, make sure you get the contractor & / or geometra (sp) to look into under floor and wall heating bc it’s super cold during winter — like bone chilling 🥶
  • Pass on this one. But, don't forget to take the ferry and check out Sicily. You home may be waiting for you there. Sometimes the best deals aren't advertised.

I‘m looking since more than 2 years in Abruzzo, Molise and Puglia and learned so much in this time. I know now some agents who are nice and able to talk English and also I got to know an Italian engineer who would help me with renovation works. But till now I haven’t found my house … I have too much wishes…
  • Love the new opening credits, and I must agree, oceans with coral is so much more interesting than plain beaches!

Another great video. Love the terrace, but the entry is dreadful as you pointed out.

It's cute and looks in good shape. I'm not a beach person , but it looks good . I'm always concerned about what condition the building it's attached to.... Some ytubers had to buy the property that it was attached to, because it was a hot mess and leaking into their property. Keep looking 😊 it looked alittle too small .

Were in Penne a couple of days ago. Totally dead. There was only one place open for lunch. Beutiful old town though, but with very little activity. Sulmona was a lot better...

When you figure out the USA based consultant , let us know ! I'm an Illinois guy, landlocked too. No beaches for me, without lots of shade trees

Names of towns would be nice, i.e. where the AD amphitheare is; the agrituristic accommodation is located, food prepared, etc.; not enough information given...

After watching a lot of videos on Italy and learning about all the hidden costs not to mention the income taxes Italy requires I have come to yhe conclusion that I cannot afford to buy property and live in Italy.

The legal system in Italy does not work - very risky for investors.
