This corvette engine sits very low, and far back in our monte carlo. Maybe a advantage at some point? We're making progress on this swap!

  • I have no idea how he keeps up this level of content, going to live events, and filming a TV show. 👏
  • I gotta say I watch a lot of YouTubers and none of them hit the spot as well as your videos do. There’s just a good dynamic of humor, entertainment, and a kind of stress-free vibe that makes it very relaxing but also fun to watch. Thanks for the content.
  • Mind blown!! I have no idea how you can work on one project, film road worthy rescues and complete will it runs, plus be a father and husband, you are truly amazing! And you remain humble while Helping others Truly a man of integrity and faith and a inspiration Thanks for all you do

Derek is one of the hardest working people on YouTube. You deserve everything you've earned!
  • How on earth does a feller find the time to film all this top tier content and manage family life. Hats off to you Derek 👏
  • Release on a tuesday? I can't believe it but i guess i got to cause I'm watching it! You always find a way to make my day better just being who you are. Got my 66 Valiant running because of you. I'm very thankful and proud of your hard work and determination. Thanks for being a great guy. Maybe I'll bring it to MoParty this year and let you see it? If it'll make the 600 miles....
  • @Jono.
I live for the jump-cuts where Derek goes from having a peaceful monologue to beating the mess out of a rig with a hammer LOL Love the channel, this is a fun project to watch.

Derek, your videos are like therapy to me and I... ain't... kiddin' ya! In this world of one-second-scene-fast-cut-videos the relaxed dynamic of you videos is just what a fella needs to wind down, take a deep breath, and remember what life is about. No need to explain.... you know what I mean. With your calm and always composed and optimistic personality (and communication style), your videos are downright Zen to me. Your positive attitude approaching any issue you encounter is inspiring. Too many people nowadays give up at the first sign of trouble... not you! Whenever I feel anxious (so, um.. every day) I watch one of your videos and I get that feeling that everything is all right with the world and there is still chance for the humanity (nope... just escaping the reality). Your ethics and your values are something very rare in this world. To me your videos represent the America we all wish we could get back. It's "mind-bottling" that something like your channel exists in 2023! Please keep on doing what your are doing as the fellas watching your channel need you. Ooff da, man! What a comment!!! Right? 🙂 Love ya, Derek, and your whole family!

Christopher Walken narrating VGG is something I didnt know I wanted, but now I know its something I need...
  • Gotta love waking up here in the UK @ 2.00 am and discovering Derek throws a video up.. cheers feller
  • I'm an over the road truck driver and when I'm having a bad day I'll go to the channel and just let them play. I've seen every episode so I can visualize what's going on. Hold on now feelers and fellets Im not watching them when I'm driving but I'll listen to them. Vgg and Jay lenos garage are my two favorite YouTube channels. Would love to see Derrick on Jay's garage.
  • I can't Begin to tell you how much your videos mean to the family and me. It brings us together like nothing else on the TV. I mean it brother thank you. Stay being you and the awesome family that you have and built.
  • @tmajcan94
Derek, you are the hardest working man on YouTube. A true man's man. I learn so much from your videos while laughing at the same time. I just ordered the old school VGG hat and tattered flag t shirt. I can't wait to represent! Keep doing what you do my friend. Bring the thunder!
  • Derek you are one of the most dedicated guys too your fans. Thank you for what you do. Truly inspiring
  • The editing from the new tank to the old English wheel being used. Was priceless. That machine is loud and ornery.
  • YES, so excited to see how this all turns out Derek, you do such great work.....the Monte Barrow will live again!
  • @scootaroo28
Three minutes in and I'm already LMAO! Derek you are an inspiration to every man with your hard and consistent work ethic, your dry humor and your patience. Thanks for cheering me up every time you post a new video. You're the kinda feller I'd like to have a wobble pop, and I dont even drink. Take care of your health brother, we need you in our lives and of course so does your family. God bless all of you.
  • Well, let me start off by thanking you. Not only for the great content, but for inspiring me to take on my very own revival myself. A friend had a 1989 Fleetwood bounder rv that wouldn’t start and asked if I could help, well knowing it carries the 454 big blockasesss in the power barn, I knew from watching all of your videos, that we just need fuel spark and air. Turned out that all she needed was a new electric pump in the tank and bam. She started right up. I tested the theory by hooking up an edlebrocken clicky clacky from a fuel tank to the mechanical pump and that answered all my questions. I was going to film it but since watching your videos, you not only have changed my outlook on classic cars but you have completely change my vocabulary and I can’t help but to take on the VGG terminology for just about everything. What in the devil has become a household saying. 😂 I know this is a long one but honestly, thank you! Your humor, sayings, knowledge and drive to save another car from the wrecker is infectious and I have the VGG bug. I’m going to get what I can out of this RV but with 60k miles on the motor I’m very much planning to pull it and save yet another car from the salvage yard. The RV it’s self has seen some stuff that I won’t speak of but that Chevy blood it THICK, and I ain’t kiddin ya! Thank you for being you and keep on keepin on!
  • @jcon371
I’m just a regular ol’ used car mechanic. Lemme tell you… watching all of your videos is really starting to light the spark again when I used to enjoy working on cars. Can’t wait to start my own project again.
