I've compiled a reading list of my favourite history books via the Amazon influencer program. If you do choose to purchase any of these incredible sources of information then Amazon will send me a tiny fraction of the earnings (as long as you do it through the link) (this means more and better content in the future) I'll keep adding to and updating the list as time goes on:-

I’ve been constantly working on this. Now on to the next one! This documentary rocks and I cant believe its all on YouTube! Long live independent creators and their patrons!
  • @keithd.6712
Usually, I watch documentaries to fall asleep, but I actually watched the entire thing and paid attention. One of the best documentaries I’ve ever seen well done.
  • Seriously can't fathom the amount of work you put into a 4+ hr documentary! Thank you, Pete! Definitely one of the premier channels on YouTube!
  • @Fawnkay
Pete, I am deeply thankful for the effort on producing this piece. The sobriety in which you present the history of this wildly complex and rich civilization does not fail to inspire the awe the whole study of history deserves, while also being balm for the exhausting intensity much of media produced today focus on. I do look forward to explore your other videos, and see your future work. Once again, thank you very much.

This guy is providing what the History Channel used to, only way better
  • @mitsurichan3
I am so so happy the extent of coverage this was. ot makes me so proud to be Guatemalan and hear that we also get attention on the historical records. I believe this is the first documentary I watch that covers so much history of my country's precolumbian era in such care and respect. I solute you my guy. Keep up the good work!
  • As a history buff of Mayan history and culture, having visited San Grevasio, Tulum, Chinchen Itza, Uxmal, Edzna, And half a dozen other sites, along with living in the Yucatan for 2 years, I find this one of the best produced documentaries I have watched. Thank you!
  • Bravo! I'm about a quarter of the way through and I have to say that this is magnificent so far! I can't even begin to fathom how many hours you sank into this but it's stellar. Thank you!
  • @couchfort3934
I don’t know if you take “requests”, but would really love to see you do something on ancient Hawaii. Everything on YouTube is either barely 5 minutes long or focuses on post-Cook history. Thank you for what you do! These documentaries get me through my work day and are easy enough to listen to without being distracting!
  • @cubialpha
i'm really surprised this culture isn't inspiring or featured more in pop culture media, like ancient egypt is. they have such an awesome & iconic style and left behind so much stunning artwork
  • I came here because your brother from.history of the universe pointed me to you guys. 32 been suffering with deep depressive mental illness. When I'm watching and listening to you guys I feel connected focused and at ease. Very intelligently done work you guys have produced and I'm honored to be alive to see it
  • Is there some kind of award that I can nominate this video for? That's a serious question. I just can't express just how floored I am by the amount of care put into this documentary, it's overwhelming. Great job HT 👍
  • @AskTorin
This is so in depth without losing it's quality and vision. Absolutely unparalleled documentary and work. At 3hrs in I am completely caught up in what I can only describe as magic.
  • @Cropsykills
I was just in Belize and visited Caracol ans Xunamtunich. I was in awe. It has reignited my love for Archaeology.
  • @yukloop
How is this guy not a world famous documentarian?! Well, if not yet than he’s on his way. Long time fan and I’m still blown away after each doc. Keep up the good work!
  • @jasonmathers
I'm literally so excited rn. This feels like a movie release and I know it's going to be so good. Thank you
  • 4+ hours?! This is going to be AWESOME, thank you for all your hard work.
  • @Sprite_525
1:38:02 “Only when the rule-book of the Old World was thrown out entirely, did scholars begin to realize they’d been reading the scripts backwards ” so relatable 😆 people rarely re-evaluate their approach voluntarily, even ‘smart’ scholars don’t always question their framework until it’s crushed or los
  • Listened to all 4.5 hours. Amazing, simply amazing. Netflix give this man a series
