As they have now machined the teeth out of the intermediate plates this differential is no longer in limited slip operation .

those mechanic robes are excellent around rotating equipment, and the sand absorbs all oil spill so no cleaning is required

I'm sure glad they have their best mechanics working on it, the good use of torque wrenches, and the new and improved semi-limited slip differential it's a winner. I'm very glad they used all the updated PPE's. Good job lads!

Imagine having to do this with spanners and 1/2 inch ratchet drives,my god what a task,the bearing install almost gave an stroke.

I know from personal experience, once these backstreet mechanics get hold of your broken down machine, it is the kiss of death...Their methodology is, do half-a-repair to keep the machine going, then it'll be back when it breaks down again & that's more business for them...an endless & infuriating illogical vortex that is best avoided at all costs...

Every after-sales business unit that's part of a drivetrain corporation needs to see this. I worked for a large German diesel manufacturer for many years, and the majority of corporate had no idea this is what field service looks like in many countries.

pulling the clutch packs and taking the teeth off them was probably just to scam a few more hours labor out of the owner. otherwise all they did was put some new bearings in.
