  • Thanks for the video. Was just discussing these and searched to find this. I was using my i7-2600k for 10 years and it was still holding its own on modern games and against modern hardware. It's still being used today in my sons PC and going strong. In my opinion is to date, the best regular consumer market CPU to ever be released. And I say that as a long term AMD fan.

I'm still rockin' my sandy bridge in 2022 and will rock it for another 8 years running Linux

This might be the last thing I type on my beloved I5-2400. My 3600 is showing up sometime today. I LOVE how stable and fast the 2400 has been. It still plays everything I want to play with a 1650 super. Legendary CPU, I will miss you.

I still run my 3930K! I've had it clocked at 4.4ghz for a while, still as stable as a rock!
  • @rstora01
Still running (daily) 2500k @ 4.5g. (air cooled) When I built my PC in 2012 never dreamed it would hold up this long. I am staying with rig until it dies

I once had an i7-2600K and overclocked it to 4.6GHz (@1.35V), Rise of the Tomb Raider was the only Game that would drop to the 50 FPS range in big open areas (16GB DDR3-1866 + GTX 980 Ti @1400MHz)
  • I built my system a bit later, but still running the same basic platform. i7 3770k @ 4.5 GHz Sapphire Pulse Vega 56 32 gb ddr3 @1600 MHz. As an editing and gaming workhorse, it's still throwing down 8 years later :)

I still run my i5 2500k in my second machine. I got lucky and it OC to 5.0 stable. I still run it at 4.7 with a large rad only gets to 52C. Paired with a 980 it still plays every game made at 1080 at a reasonable frame rate. Just updated to an 8700K.

My first and last intel cpu was the 2500k, could hit 5ghz with water 4.8ghz with air. It was a great cpu for sure.
  • @sw1zzy940
    I have i7 2600k 4.8ghz @1.38v Matchs I7 6700 More than enough for m'y RX 580
  • @JarrodsTech
Man I had the i7-950 from 2010 - 2018, heck the PC is still under my desk 😂 I missed out on sandy bridge!
  • Still using my 2500k. This thing is a Toyota. Lightly overclocked @ 3.3 since I bought it. Going to use it somewhere when I upgrade....... eventually......
  • @MisterTonyG
Nice GTX 570 in that LGA 1155 system. I still have that GTX 570, but it has been retired lol. I really enjoy these history videos whether it's about technology or about historical people or events. Keep up the good work.

Brillinat video. Unbiased and very thorough! Most YouTubers steer clear of FX (Bulldozer) line-up while discussing Sandy/Ivy Bridge CPUs which annoys me a little bit, to be honest! Anyhow... Subscribed!

This is a dope series. So glad I found it.
