My grandmother would play this at her cookouts where her and her friends would smoke a little reefer and drink their budweisers. I miss you grandma! 😢

Diana sang never better than on this song. This and "I'm Coming Out" were the peak of her career. A masterpiece.

A great artist at her peak for sure. The funk, the musicianship is so good.

This was the first song from Miss Ross that reeled me in, way back in 1980. I was a middle school kid back then and couldn’t get enough of this song 🎶 It’s sublime…Diana’s voice is like liquid cashmere!!

I love this album so much. I remember the EXACT MOMENT when I heard this song coming on. I was crossing a street at the time, heading home to my old digs in the city. :D (But really, I was just a skinny kid at the time.) And I just knew... “OK, that’s a No. 1 hit right there. No doubt about it.” You could feel it, you just knew it instantly. It’s everything about it, but in particular Diana’s voice, which is warm and natural and not cold and perfect. There is something very personal and natural about it. No one ever sang quite like that. Thank you, Diana, for everything!

  • Diana. Nile Rodgers. Bernie Edwards. You can't miss the groove with such a lineup!
  • Fantastic Diana Ross, but amazing Bernard's bass guitar.
