the un-identifiable rock was a heavily mineralized quartz stringer.. the black stuff on that rock makes the black sand on the beach

Dear Jason; great work with your videos. I too have walked many millions of miles just to go panning and I am glad to see that you do too. The reddish rock looks like jasper to me. One day I will afford to get a cube they sure are worth it. The one thing I really wish is that I could find a spot like you had on today that I could park that close and just a short walk to the beach with black sand my wife has cancer and she can't walk very far and she loves to prospect with me it's just not the same thing when we're not there together and I want to spend as much time as we can
