I used to love Valve and their games, but now I love... Just their games.

If you’ve actually found out the identities of the bot hosters, hand them over to the authorities, and hand them over to Valve so they can file a lawsuit against them. Only consider sharing them to the public if there is no other option.

"Valve isn't going to want to interact with a community that does this" They don't anyway.
  • @drsteiner12
“Let’s boycott Valve” As a guy who hasn’t bought anything from Tf2 and even Steam for past 7 years: “Way ahead of you, whatshow”
  • The soldier at 11:21 was like "ain't no way this dude is trying to kill me with the pompsom"
  • @sheacorduroy5565
For the record the boycott steam thing wouldn’t just be TF2. It’d be CS2 and L4D2 as well, since both of those games have been dealing with massive cheater/ddos problems as of late.

If we protest outside Valve HQ, one of the bot hosters might slip in undetected and start something, making the whole movement look bad

The war thunder community did a few of these extremes becaise gyjin was going to ruin the economy and make playing the game even more depressing and opressive. So , we boycotted the game -96% players, we didnt spend a dime on the game, we negative review bombed the liveing day lights out of thier game for a week, and they did listen after a while but its not perfect but they are still improving the game for the players. So that is proof that the extremes can work.

4:57 “shutting down the servers would be insanely stupid from a business perspective” I’m going to be honest, I’m trying to think what the last non-stupid decision Valve made as a company was.
  • @shinyrayquaza9
I feel like if that bot hoster discord got sent to the proper authorities, we would have a good bit of arrests of these swatters and doxxers
  • @itzskir6832
Exposing their identities would keep other innocent players from being exposed as well. This bot crisis has gone on long enough. Its only fair they are met with punishment for what theyve done to this amazing game.

I don't care about optics. We tried being nice and polite in SaveTF2. We are beyond that. Any method to get Valve to respond is worth trying by this point.
  • @exuakema
Imagine this finishes and valve says “weee might do something idk”
  • @c0baltl1ghtn1ng
On the "They'll shut down TF2" thing: The most Valve would really do is shut down the officially hosted servers, meaning the rebirth of community servers. I see this as a potential good ending, provided we go back to how things were back in the day, when we could monitor and moderate ourselves. They won't touch the Item server what-so-ever.
  • @dumbcatposter
"Valve isn't going to want to engage with a community that does that" he said about the community Valve already refuses to engage with, about the problem caused by their lack of engagement in the past
  • @eleven99
So whats your gameplan to save TF2? "Uh, like, were gonna make videos (again) and uh, make noise on twitter (again) and um, waste time by debating the efficacy of boycotts on noname podcasts or something" Great job, guys. At this rate Valve is SURELY going to issue another "were fixing it" tweet while doing nothing in absolutely no time!!!!!
  • @DJStat1c
Honestly, this quote from Medic sums it up best: “Standing near ze point does nussing. Get on ze point, duumkopf!” We aren’t doing anything by walking the line, we’ve gotta cross that shit and push! The final point is in sight, so keep on pushing that cart! #FixTF2

3:17, but they are commiting legitimate crimes, idc if its dangerous for them
