In a year in which focus group members say they’re looking for a younger candidate, Republicans are running the oldest presidential nominee in American history against a likely Democratic candidate who’s nearly two decades younger. In a year in which many voters are concerned about crime, Republicans are running a man who’s committed dozens of felonies against a former prosecutor who’s brought criminals to justice. In a year in which some voters might care about experience, Republicans are running the least experienced presidential ticket in generations against a Democrat who’s spent the last 20 years serving the public well. A Harris-Trump contest would be “the future vs the past.” No wonder Republicans are feeling anxious
  • Under the current circumstances, the Democratic Party's chances of winning the upcoming presidential election have decreased significantly. To change the current difficult situation, it is important not only to choose a new candidate. It is especially important to come up with a NEW IDEA (not a slogan), namely a new idea for serious reform of the presidential system. The main disadvantage of this system of government “from the outside” seems to be TWO ASPECTS: Firstly, the term of government. Considering the size of the United States in everything (economy, population, territory, influence and much more), and also given the inertia of processes with such impressive values, a presidential term of 4 years seems too short for serious changes. The second is the re-election of the current president; Two years after taking office, every president begins to think about future elections and becomes constrained in many ways in his decisions. I believe that the President of a great country should be freer from such pressure when making the right and necessary decisions for the good of the COUNTRY. In the modern political situation in the world, when global changes and reformatting of relations are taking place, stability of power has become an advantage (unfortunately, only for autocracies and dictatorships). To make greater use of the benefits of democracy, power must be made more stable and consistent. The future presidential candidate must declare that his main goal, if elected president, is to reform presidential power: first of all, declare himself a one-term president and propose constitutional changes in the 2028 presidential elections: the US President is elected for a term of at least 6-8 years without the right to re-election for a second term.
