  • @larachrw
This vintage music genre suits her voice more than anything
  • This is definitely on the low end of Olivias range… and she killed it
  • @elmaaa3
Olivia's going to be a HUGE superstar in a few years, her vocals have improved SO MUCH and she's killing it. Rooting for her.
  • This is a tribute for Carly not contesting she’s better than Carly. My god, grow up haters!!!
  • @barryg4927
I'm a huge Carly fan but my god...Olivia just NAILED THIS...WOW! This girl is rolling on and on....Keep it up girl!

i love how theatrical olivia is in her performances, you can tell she really cares about the song and feels deeply and isn’t just going through the motions🩷 also my heart skipped a beat everytime they showed brandi singing along
  • “I had some dreams they were clouds in my coffee “ is taylor swift’s fave lyric
  • @sumacmusac
she really did a great job! you can tell she loves the song deeply
  • @nadi5303
I love the fact she still add her singing style to the song.
  • Let's give it up to Olivia Rodrigo who sang as beautifully as the original artist, who didn't try to "stylize" or modify the vocals, but omg gave it up to the true and the wonder of Carly Simon. Hats off to this incredible singer!!!!

I have a feeling most of the people hating on Olivia now will be waiting in line to buy tickets to her show in five years. That's my experience from being a Swiftie back in 2008. Got made fun of then for liking her, then those people bragged about getting tickets to Eras.
  • LONG time Carly fan who so richly deserved this. Although I really wanted Carly to perform (she was in mourning for the loss of her sisters who died one day apart), I was absolutely thrilled with Olivia's performance. I'm sure Carly was impressed as well.
  • man these old people really gatekeeping this song to olivia and younger people lol. They be talking shts about her dress and her voice lol. She's singing there for a reason (she's talented)
  • This song is actually quite difficult to sing in that it dips to such a low range that most female voices go flat. Kudos to her for even attempting it!
  • Holy fucking shit. Didn’t know Olivia had this in her bag. A demolition of a performance (in a good way).
  • I've turned into a fan of Olivia Rodrigo -- a really surprising artist. I'm also a fan of Carly Simon. What I'm quite surprised in the comments, though (mind you, I haven't read them all), is that Rodrigo has changed the tone of the song into something more celebratory of it. If you listen to Simon's voice, there's a bitterness and anger, undoubtedly because she was jaded. Rodrigo's is more jubilant. That's not a criticism, though, just an observation. This performance is obviously a celebration of Simon, so that could also explain that.
