UPDATE: jubilee CEO contacted Aba N Preach, and they resolved the strikes - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYNCtXDZkqM TLDR - they striked them because, - they felt like some ppl were stealing their content by reacting to it (but it was obviously fair use) - they need money to produce videos and they were having trouble funding stuff? so they thought its cause of the reactions taking away money/views from them... makes very little sense - basically, they messed up, and now they resolved it

The fact that Jubilee's CEO went from saying "we like people reacting to our channel and being monetized" to copyright striking is telling. Even if this gets resolved, no one is going to react to their videos and they will fall to irrelevance.

Imagine having your whole week ruined because two YouTubers reacted and gave a negative response to the video that you edited but say you like to watch them. Like what the hell??? Pathetic.
  • @HorrorandScience
If you’re gonna have ridiculous videos about divisive topics, you’re going to have videos made about you. How dumb to get butt hurt over this. Also, all videos I’ve seen have been very transformative.
  • I don't understand how YT let's Sniperwolf run rampant with her reaction videos but then deletes other channels for less. At this point who even understands tos anymore. So unfair.

Calling it now, either Jubilee does a complete 180 and looks scummy or they hold strong and have their business collapse. My money is on the former, but….
  • @rank19r
How many years it has gone now and still YouTube chooses to be ignorant about their copyright system. Absolute sad man
  • @Onurb2821
The fact that the CEO is ok with the reactions and the other "employees" still go and say it's bad tells a lot about company workers thinking they are the owners of the business and want to do what they want in big tech companies nowadays.

I don’t think jubilee realise barely anyone watches there channel, I only know about them bc most ppl enjoy watching ppl react to them, let them fade into irrelevancy.
  • @Zeroshiki
I don't know if it's just me, but I've never watched one of these videos on my own. It's always been watching a commentary YouTuber reacting to them. The reactions usually elevate videos like this.
  • The fact is, it doesn't MATTER if new Jubilee manangement or whatever doesn't LIKE people reacting. If it falls under FAIR USE, then it's legal and allowed. End of discussion. This company may not like what someone has to say, but they shouldn't be able to strike it or even demonetize it, as it does fall under fair use parameters. So basically they need to suck it up, or stop making public content altogether. I know some people don't like react/commentary channels, but what is allowed is allowed and it doesn't matter how anyone 'feels' about it.
  • Aba N Preach should take these numbskulls to court. I imagine there's a lot of fans who would crowd-fund cases like this.

Oh boy, lemme just grab some popcorn real quick, who want some ?
  • @jesusrivera2970
Fuck it, us as a community should start mass reporting jubilee for false information because that’s what they always pedal EDIT: like Arthur Shelby said: “I’m Old Testament” so I’m a strongly-believer in “an eye for an eye”
  • @peckingwater4421
They even claim/strike youtubers who react and add onto the videos they were featured on. For example, Blaire White didn't even play the whole video she was in, she just added her side of the story of poor editing and bias. She got claimed even though it was 100% fair use. They seem to claim or strike the people who disagree with them. The YouTube copyright system is so fucked up.
  • @thesalvaged2952
You can tell preach wants to just get rid of the videos he's pissed
  • @Rixuous
The fact that after all these years, YouTube still favors copyright claimers no matter how little or non-existent the evidence is, is literally pathetic. Disgusting. We're going to give ANYONE the power to take down a channel from falsely copyrighting them within 5 days? And the victim has to PROVE THEIR INNOCENCE? The people in YouTube have never been intelligent, obviously... but I thought this kind of issue would be resolved, idk, 6 years ago when it started? Maybe? Absolutely ridiculous.
