I like the Princess Sellen theory. I also think there is a third Princess, since Ranni resides in a region of Liurnia named Three Sisters with two other towers nearby.

I always thought Sellen could be a Carian noble. Maybe one of the "Three Sisters"

I hated the way Rennala turned out. If Rennala wanted more babies, all she needed to do was ask. I'm always here to help.

I have a different interpretation. After all, if Radagon is Marika as the revelation states, then Marika's motives for merging of the Great Houses might after all not be as sinister as simply cracking the heart of a powerful enemy. The goal of the Golden Order, seems to have always been the grand unification of fall under Grace. And the Carians appeared to have resisted this unification by forceful means. So perhaps, Marika in all her wisdom, decided that the best way to accomplish it, was through peace in marriage. Literally merging the blood lines, which would not only stop the wars, but bring the house of the Moon literally into the fold. After all, the children of that marriage were all accepted into the order as hairs. Thus peace is achieved, the Golden order is accepted by all AND the House of the Moon is preserved. As to the question of did Marika/Radagon always plan to break Rennala's heart and his/her oath, i believe he/she may have, but it wasn't his/her goal or malicious intent to do so. It was a price, he/she was willing to pay to preserve the Order. And i don't think the act went without consequences for the Order as well. But that is a story for another time and it is after all connected with the fate of the First Lord.

The Academy of Raya Lucaria. It’s like Hogwart’s but with an even greater chance of death!!

I have a theory that radagon was trying to seperate from marika an be reborn. The amber egg has something to do with it, since zulli the witch shows that theres red strands of hair in the egg. Maybe radagons new body was already on the process of forming but something happened. And thats the reason rennala is so overprotective of it. I assume she becomes heartbroken because she learned of radagon/marika fates at the erdtree. Trapped by the greater will and unable to seperate since the elden beast inserted itself into them.

I was just making fan art of Rennala when this video came out 😊

I really think from soft dropped the ball but maybe could pick it back up concerning rennela. What I mean is what if part of what broke her heart and lead her to sorrow is if she was one of the few people to know that radagon was Marika? Like she stumbled upon it. A item in that library would have made it so amazing. Her realizing after radagon was summoned back to change into Marika, him leaving her while he still had control over himself . Leaving her the egg but taking the sword she gave him on their wedding . All of that and only then she realized radagon was connected to her sworn enemy of the gold Marika herself . That would be genius. For her to see how far Marika was willing to go to learn and defeat the opposition of the moon and stars by literally sleeping with the enemy .

Iji has a rare dialog, when he refers to Sellen as Carian weed. Perhaps she’s part of Carian family, but not necessarily Renalla’s daughter, perhaps sister?
  • Fantastic dive into Rennala's lore and I love the Carian Princess Sellen theory! The biggest bit of lore we're still missing though is the true origin of Radagon. He could have been his own person, a champion who perhaps caught Marika's eye and maybe even had an affair with her before being sent off to fight in Liurnia, and who much later joined with Marika after they were married, with Marika perhaps giving Radagon the Golden Egg to give to Rennala to neutralise her. He could also be more like a Tyler Durden-esque alter-ego of Marika, originally created by her to be the perfect husband to ensnare Rennala into the political marriage Marika wanted, but who eventually grew his own, independent identity that rebelled against his creator. The information or evidence to prove either theory simply isn't in the game as far as we know. Hopefully we'll get more in the DLC that will shed light on it, as either one would fundamentally affect our understanding of so many characters in Elden Ring!

Rennala is dead at game start. The version we see is actuallly a puppet of Rennala being controled by Ranni. Her whole aestetic is puppet. She mever touches the ground. (Until we smack her down) Like shes a marrioniette. She stays floating above it. We know the Carians and sorcerers in general can prevent death by moving their souls into glintosone and into puppet bodies. Ranni is in a puppet body, Selvius is too, as is Sellen. Furthermore, there are tons of puppet soldiers all through the lands between fighting for the Carians. The start of her boss fights second stage has the same exact animation as a spirit summon. She comes out of a portal in the floor. Her head is down. She raises her head and begins to fight. Its exactly the same. Ranni Inremind you is the one who taught us how to use spirit summons in the first place. Finally, Ranni's Darkmoon spell specifically calls it the spell of "the Carian Queen" not the "carian royals" or "carian princess" but the "Carian Queen" a spell Ranni herself created mind you. If Ranni is queen then that means Rennala is dead. And she is. The existance of a Rememberance confirms it. Enia says this of Rememberances. "Demigods, and even the greater of the champions, are hewn by the Erdtree upon their end, into remembrances" So to recieve a rememberance means that they have met their end. The erdtree has accepted them and etched a rememberance of that being. And since she is still there afterwards, well that has to be a doll body. Alright thats all have a good one.

Wow, great video! Thanks, as always!

Please make a video about the Sun, I think there’s some really interesting unexplored content there because there’s lots of hints and sparse information that seems to hint that the sun was once much more important in the lands between. Also it seems like Faram Azula might have been the “sun realm” because you can find “sun realm shields” on the skeleton beastmen in Faram Azula. Please shed some light on this topic, and PRAISE THE SUN \ [T] /
  • Could you try taking a swing at the bloodthorn sorcerers? I think the Shield of the Guilty may have something to do with it, but I can't be sure.
  • @AegisKHAOS
Time and time again, I don't pay as much attention to the item descriptions, because the Carians having princesses instead of a princess was something new. So Sellen being a former princess has some legs to it.
  • @Game_Daily18
The story in this game is epic nicely played mate
  • I think the rune rennala holds explains why miquella and malenia were born cursed. Think of it, it’s technically a rune of the elden ring that has been plucked out of it. Whenever this is done, a law of the world clearly changes with the coinciding configuration of the elden ring, i.e when marika plucks the rune of death from the elden ring so maliketh can wield it against the godskins. And the rune of the unborn could possibly coincide with the twins being born cursed as they are. An interesting theory
  • @rudcol8164
is it just me or did anyone else think Rennala was using faith magic in first faze, i noticed there was a few instances where faith magic and glintstone magic blended together. marget the fell omen wields a form of projection magic(summoning weapons like spears daggers swords and hammers) that's only seen in glintstone magic or radagon casting offensive incantations that act similar to spells such as comet and crystal burst.

If the fates of the moon and erdtree became forever intertwined, then did Radahn halting the stars really just ruin things for everyone? 🧐
