I Finally Explored BGC... (Foreigner Shocked In The Philippines?)

I finally vlogged in BGC.
Was I shocked?
After a week in Davao with family culminating in a massive Suzuki event of 1100 Raider riders convoying to Panabo, I flew back to Manila to pick up my V-Strom 250 and ride it back towards Davao.
But first, I have a few things to do in Manila - fight Monday morning traffic to pick up my drone, then meet some friends in BGC who decide to give me an impromptu tour!
Let's just say, I have a new appreciation of BGC as another unique part of the diverse patchwork that we call Metro Manila!
But I have to leave - the cool air of Lucban, Quezon's summer capital, awaits...

You had no GPS 4:39, so you had to rely on DPS (Daot Positioning System). Foreigner shocked by traffic chaos of BGC! Even more shocked by friend meditating in peaceful park in the middle of the big city! Quezon Province must have been such a relief after the congestion and hustle and bustle of BGC. I could feel my blood pressure instantly lower once you started showing the scenery and heritage architecture after leaving BGC.

I hope you can bring your Wife & Lily to BGC this coming holidays, I saw other vlogs that BGC is festive and magical with their joyous events plus the lighting/sparkles more than the neons of Las Vegas!

yeah manila traffic is whole different animal, bud. great job in navigating also, yes get on EDSA (highway 54) and you can practically go anywhere in the metro. have a safe ride going back south! cheers!

I hope they continue to spread awareness of road safety rules. A huge percentage of road accidents are due to reckless and ignorant riders. Good luck with spreading awareness to people who can’t even look both ways let alone use their side mirrors. Good luck dealing with basic stupidity.

When I came in 1998 I was working on the development of BGC. Our site offices were about where Fairways Tower is. BGC then was just a large open, empty area with 2 or 3 buildings in progress. Certainly come a long way since then.

That driving on the left side is probably in Pioneer, Mandaluyong. Yes a lot of motorists get confused about that portion as well 🤣
