Love how she won't dish the dirt on the people she dressed. Sheer elegance.
  • She is the cat's meow. She is humble and so articulate. Such a cute gal. Thanks Edith for the class you gave us in fashion!❤

I admire the fact that Edith told her hosts that she's NOT a designer, but rather a costumer. Everyone has mistakenly always called her a designer.

Everything shown can be worn today and still look good! That's the mark of a great designer.
  • When the Academy Awards was the must see program, we always knew that Ms. Head would win if nominated

EDITH HEAD was a genius of Fashion. Her work is extraordinary. She is such a unique character , always so to the point, seemingly rigid at times in her personality. There's no doubt of her contribution in Film & Fashion.
  • WOW! What a gifted woman!! Amazing artist, creator!!! Rest in peace dear Edith!! Blessings

Grace Kelly had "a superb chassis." 😂😂😂 Ms Edith has such a wonderfully eccentric and esoteric personality. I love me some wickedly dry humor, and she certainly has that in spades. I wish she was my friend!

I met her at a fashion show at Neiman Marcus in Houston back in the 1970’s. Got her autograph on a Vogue Pattern that she designed. She was very friendly.

  • “If it isn’t pretty hide it” Words to live by in fashion. If only people adhered to that today!

When I was in grade school, we went on a field trip to one of the studios. On our tour of the studio, we saw Edith Head. She was so gracious and kind, she came over to our tram and spoke to us kids! I asked her what it was like to dress Paul Newman! I have no idea what made me ask that question I was just a kid! Lol! She said it was fabulous!

I'd give the world to wear an Edith dress

I wish someone would curate a collection of her gowns made famous through some incredible movies and exhibit them worldwide. Would love to see them.
  • Edith was a Queen of Glamour, She gave class to the movie stars that wore her Iconic creations.

This is the first time I've heard Edith Head speak, after all the years of seeing her name pop up on the credits of most of my favourite movies. What a treat & thanks for sharing.

Just two of her best quotes ( You can have anything you want in life if you dress for it / Your dresses should be tight enough to show you're a woman and loose enough to show you're a lady )
