  • The choreography for this movie is so underrated, all the fights were on point.

This feel so much like a Jackie Chan fight scene. The way it's shot, choreographed, the slight amount of comedy thrown in. I love it.
  • This is the only post-Endgame movie that's really done it for me. The music, the action choreography, even the mystical cgi stuff at the end worked for me. The themes of family strife and legacy really resounded with me and I actually got a bit emotional at the end.

the scene on the bus is well done. the genuine shock and bemusement from the other passengers, just as anyone would if they witnessed something like that really makes this scene work.
  • I feel this movie doesn't get a lot of mention but it was a good origin story and a very nice villain

Love how our boy Cliff doesn't stop filming for even a second though all of this. This is a man decicated to his channel and his subscribers.

This is hands down one of the greatest action sequence in MCU. Let's just take a moment to appreciate Action choreographer, VFX artists, actors, cinematographer & people who were involved in making this scene possible. Entire movie is filled with insane action sequences.

I’m so glad they got an actor who’s willing to go ALL in with the martial arts training. It just would not be the same if it’s someone who doesn’t know much or someone who knows the basics, but lets the stunt guys do the heavy work. Which is fine because stunt guys exist for a reason (and they deserve so much more credit for the incredible things they do for film/TV, especially the dangerous stunts), but for this… it has to be believable that Shang Chi has been training ever since his childhood. That said, I think it’s better to see the actor portray at least the majority of that without cutting to stunt guys so much. In terms of martial arts/fighting, Simu Liu did that part of the character justice.

That jump split kick was what sold me. But man, the more times you watch it, the more craziness you realize Simu Liu went through in this sequence. Guy was moving like a squirrel!
  • This scene has a three-act sequence (hero reveal, mini villain reveal and a satisfactory climax), with humour, high stakes, a little but of emotion, style, everything thrown in at the right amount and the music just elevates it a few notches up!

2:09 is the realest. My heart goes out. Condolences for your loss

I love how he drops the act as soon as they hit his friend.

Man, imagine if every fight scene in the MCU had even HALF this much energy.
  • Imo this is one of the BEST Marvel origin story movies... I didn't expect much but I was blown out of the water when it came out... the soundtrack, plus choreography, plus cast plus everything else... absolutely phenomenal

It's funny because when I first saw bits of this scene in one of the trailers, I wasn't that impressed. But the full version turned out to be a really good action sequence.

When you are an adult you no longer see it as a cool fight and you imagine how much everything is going to cost in damages
