I've been asked about the Rockpals Portable Power Stations on my lives and in my comments. They sent me one and I get to dive into the Rockpals Quandary. That quandary is that rockpals 300, like some power stations, does not have

Did I Make A Good Case For No Pass-through Charging? Like The Video If You Liked It Thanks For Watching & Commenting
  • What I like about your videos is that you edit your own taping so brutally. No fluff. I love that you just get to the point. On the other hand, I also love that you’re so relaxed and open to disparate commentary and thought in your live videos. So heck, whatever that means, good job.
  • My Rockpals 300 was my first power station. The day I got it we had a 9 hour power outage that night and it ran my WIFI. If you run low wattage devices the display can read wrong and need resetting by fully recharging. But otherwise I`ve had no problems with it.

You making ME even happier for jumping on the EB120.. fan is super quiet. And kicks on when needed. Not just because you have something plugged in. I watched the inverter pull over 1180 watts for about 3 min. I didn't notice it right away so I could have been longer.. but anyways .another classic . Keep em comin
  • Good video. I would want pass through charging so I know Rockpals is not for me. Thank you. I appreciate you and your very informative videos!!!
  • @ReviewsandTech
Hey boss, personally I like pass through charging, I think it's a feature that should be included with all power stations honestly. Thanks for sharing bro.
  • Most people don`t know that you can buy the little 12 volt rice cooker on the "A" site with the cat face on it and cook with this.

Rockpals 330w was my first and "if I knew now" I would have passed. The max input is 52w, no pass through and unregulated so running the portable fridge is a no go. Gave it to my parents so it wasn't too bad of a buy then.
  • @stuartstuart866
For us, pass through is a must. We go camping and use a portable, 12 volt fridge 24/7 and being able to solar charge during the day is important. At home, pass through doesn’t matter.
  • @Just.Ashley.S
There’s no pass through for AC charging, but there is DC and USB pass through charging. If I was had to choose which ports were going to be pass through that’s what I would choose. I might be bias because I use those way more than AC especially on a power station this small. I was going to get this power station for the longest (because it’s been on sale), but I recently found something else for the purpose I was going to use this for and it’s more compact.
  • @OnusBones
Passthrough on 12V is sufficient for many things, BUT without 12V regulation, this power station is NOT a good choice for compressor-coolers, or anything else that cannot suffer a voltage drop-off down to 11.x or even lower. It could be a decent unit with a simple change or two, but as-is, is not a good choice IMO unless NONE of those issues might affect you.
  • @matthoward1174
I love pass thru, but my understanding is that its not good for the batteries to charge and discharge simultaneously.
  • First thing I thought when video first started....awe so cute! LOL okay back to business hahaha its really compact...perfect if it works really well
  • @BrokeFarmer
You keep it all the way real, googling pass through charging
  • @dw2296
Thanks Ive , I have that power station. I would like to have the pass through however it does hold a charge. Which station in this price range holds a good charge with pass through charging?
  • I don't like the fact they put on port on it but 4 dc ports. Seems a bit different other than that seems decent.
  • @davidparker7156
I don't see many people reviewing the togo 350w. I have that one and the quality is great. Even has a wireless charger on top.
  • @Jasonoid
No regulated DC output, no pass-through charging....but it has a quiet fan! Hmmmm I guess that use case will fit someone out-there. In my opinion I'd spend my $200 on a different power station just because my needs are different. No disrespect to anyone out there that wants this 'little space techie boom box' looking power station. I will give it to ROCKPALS for coming out with the most 'interesting' looking power stations haha. Good job fighting for a product that has some old design flaws. It has a place in the market I guess. The price should be lower in my opinion if I was ever going to purchase it for just a power dump. I see these and I think....'Are they aware where the market is heading?' Not this direction.

My rockpals 300 has stopped working. I charged it to 100%, but the display will only turn on if it's plugged in, and then the display immediately fades to black. None of the ports will turn on/light up when pushed even when the green light is lit up onnthe main power button. Any ideas on what is wrong? I can't find a troubleshooting guide for this.
