For me, Linkin Park songs like “One More Light” hit differently after Chester’s suicide. Just so weird he helped us all by singing so many songs against suicide but we didn’t realize he was the one who needed help all along.

One of Britney's songs really hits different after the whole conservatorship ordeal and that was "Slave 4 U", and although many saw it as a rather exotic and sensual song, I saw it as her trying to explain that she is not a "slave for you" and she is her own person. I don't know. I haven't looked that deep into the lyrics.

Odd little fact about Smooth Criminal: "Annie are you OK?" is in reference to the dummy they teach you to do CPR on. Her name is Annie, & it's customary to ask her if she's OK before you start performing CPR on her.
