On this adventure, Mark Vins is in Borneo tracking down the rare Trilobite Beetle! Named after the 500 million-year-old trilobite fossils that look so similar. Will he be able to find this prehistoric-looking bug? Watch to find out.

Benzaldehyde is the smell. It should smell poisononous, because it's a smell associated with cyanide, but because fruit started making it, we humans like the smell now. Benzaldehyde is also called 'almond oil'. It smells like artificial cherry flavoring.
  • Brave wilderness isn’t just about getting stung, it’s sad that people don’t appreciate these videos as much.
  • My favorite creature we have found yet! Tell me what you think of it, best comment gets pinned! -Mark
  • Bro imagine being some random millipede, chilling, eating leaves, and one day being picked up and touched by some hairless ape
  • 5:29 That smell is either the jungle or the millipedes ultimate defense, Cyanide you see, some millipede species can produce cyanide that smells kind of like cherries or other fruit, the cyanide can or can’t be harmful to you depending on the species we are dealing with.

Did anyone else have "Hakuna Matata" playing in their head at the beginning of this video? No? Just me? Okay. 💙
  • It's always lovely to see the fascination of Mark by finding those fantastic creatures! As always, it is a nice adventure for us all! Thanks so much! But it takes a lot of fantasy to see the same beetle in the fossil shown. To me, the fossil looks very different in its shape.

Mark, that beetle was quite scary looking until it was crawling around on your hand and it could see its tiny head and even tinier eyes. She is a very strange beetle and I could see her as a character on Star Wars…lol. I love your enthusiasm when you find different animals and tell us about them! I am glad it is not just all about being stung. Thank you for an amazing video and take care!!! 😄💙🐬🐍🐊🫶🏼

I'm never shaking Mark's hand if I ever meet him in-person.
  • EARLY! Watching these videos makes me so happy. I've been watchingever since i was a kid. Im suffering from severe depression and have been SA'd, and i love nature, so just seeing these make me super duper happy and make me smile. Learning about these different types of creatures fascinates me.
  • I actually accidentally came across a trilobite beetle and the armored millipede few years back in Kuantan, Malaysia. Didn't know what it was, as it look so alien-ny, and the millipede indeed smell kinda sweet when im poking it

Hard to express this properly, that beetle looks like a work of art to me.
  • Both the Worm and the insect were using the toilet when you butted in lol... "They was like hey give us some privacy will ya" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
  • I love the educational aspect of this video, sting videos got its place, but I'd prefer this type of videos more tbh. Also, what a beautiful creature!
  • its like my own backyard, it has woods in the back,it has a bunch of bugs and animals. LOVE YOUR CHANNEL KEEP IT UP!!!!

I’m so glad that you’re willing to go after creatures that are possibly unknown or not the most recognizable or the most trendy cuz I found this creature absolutely fascinating and I never would’ve known about it if you didn’t make this video.
