  • Shout out to all the step, foster, adoptive parents out there who stepped up!!!! It takes more than DNA to be a parent!!!
  • I'm a 66 year old man watching your video in tears. I remember this song. You see....I was about 16 when I met my step dad. He became my hero. ❤❤❤

Anybody can be a father. But it takes a special man to be a Daddy. Love this song.

Dudes a legend. Name the emotion, and he's got a song that hits it.

The girl I adopted spent last week presenting her scientific research in California as part of her Master's program.

Shout out to all the men, and women, who step up to be parents to kids who don't have one. You have a tender heart.

WHO IS CUTTING ONIONS?!?! I played this song at my step-dad's funeral. He was so important to me and my life and even though it's been over 20 years since he left us, I hope he's proud of the man he raised.

As a stepdad myself, and also being raised with my stepdad in my life, this song means so much to me. I cry hoping that one day my kids will think of me this way!! Much love!! Great reaction

My youngest isnt mine biologically but knows the entire story behind that story. Several years ago he found a special gift cd of this song and gave it to me. Tears flowed.😪
  • @getdavo1
I was adopted so this hits home for me.
  • @pammorgan721
He did this song for his good friend, it was his friend's story.

When Brad sang this song at the studio for the first time everyone was crying .
  • Brad writes all his songs Sushi, he writes funny, romantic, and talks about issues without offending anyone. This song is powerful. My Father took in my brother when he first meet my Mom, before I was born. You should definitely react to 7 days of Brad Paisley. Lets do a country marathon lol. Love all your reactions. Merry Christmas :)
  • I am in tears. I am the proud Dad of a 26 year old girl. Her Mom, and I raised her since she was 2. Her biological dad was a drug using waste of space, and never did anything for her! I love that kid so much! Now, she has a kid, a little girl who is 8 now, her biological father is nowhere to be found. Guess what? She is our little gift. We call her God's little gift the sunshine. How can a human ever stand to miss out on so much beauty? That is just fine! We will love her just that much more!

I am the most fortunate man on earth. I fell in love with an amazing woman with three children. I came along when the boys ranged in age from 17 to 11. They could have just blown me off. I am the luckiest man because I now have not just three wonderful sons, but 7 amazing grand children who call me Papa. I always made it a point to make sure they knew that I wanted to be there and they were THE most important things in my life. It is not about DNA. It is about FAMILY. Being Dad (and Papa) is the most important honor I have ever held.

THIS HITS HARD. My husband meet our son when he was 18 months old. When our son was in high school, this song came out...he came home after football practice all excited...he had gone and bought Brad’s CD, and sat Dad down and played this song to him.

This song hits home for me because literally everything he is singing about is what me and my brother went through. My biological father left us when I was 4 and my stepdad came around when I was 12. Then fast forward years later I’m 19 scared because I’m about to be a father and I had doubts about if I would be a good father but he helped me through it and believe in me and now my son is 10 almost 11 and I’m proud to say I’ve always been there for him and never left his side.

That's why I love country so much. The story telling is what makes the songs great!

i married my wife 34 years ago, she had children from a previous marriage. The youngest was 2 years old when i came into her life. I was 23 when we married and it was quite an adjustment having to support and help raise someone else's kids at that age. Now i am Paw Paw to their children, including my baby girl who 2 years ago gave birth to her first child via in vitro fertilization....that little 2 year old boy is the sunshine of my life. I've been blessed
