I summited Killington Peak via the Bucklin Trail for my 4th peak of the VT5 Challenge, only Camels Hump remains! Killington is Vermont's second highest peak at 4,235 ft. This was a beautiful warm day with amazing views from the summit! The trail started out easy most of the way up until just over 2 miles in then the climb started to get steeper. There was a very steep rocky section just before the summit that was id say about a 45-50 degree incline. Once I reached the summit it was really windy, around 24mph although it felt much worse, however, it was a nice clear day with lots of visibility. Unfortunately, the fire tower was locked so I couldn't get to enjoy the view from inside.
