Why I'm scared of the dark: Unlike most people, my imagination is weaker. I have a fealing someone is watching me. I have ROACHES that take advantage at night. Noises make me believe someone broke into the house. My dogs bark, giving me the illusion someone is outside. Anyone else deals with this?

I've always been scared of the dark. I think lots of people are, because our surroundings are always different in darkness. Even if we know that face is just our favorite plush, it's still a bit terrifying because we can't see the rest of it very well and think, "But what if it's something else?" It's not necessarily the dark itself, it's just that everything seems different and we can't tell for sure what anything is. It's a fear of the unknown.
