One of five battles for Atlanta in the summer of 1864, the Battle of Utoy Creek overview by Lt. Col (U.S. Army ret.) L. Perry Bennett. The other battles were Peachtree Creek, the Battle of Atlanta (East Atlanta), Ezra Church, and Jonesboro. The Battle of Utoy Creek was the Federal army's failed attempt to cut the railroad line from East Point to Atlanta.

    Perry really knows his battlefieds. It is amazing what still remains. I wish this could be surveyed and plotted on a map.
