I tried listening to the Calm app with soothing sounds and bedtime stories and just couldn't do it. Falling asleep to horror stories and true crime it is! 😄
  • @tommydavis6033
I work in the convenient store and your stories keep me company at night.😊Thank you.
  • I love the creature in the story at 53:53 he just wants to play red light green light like I did in grade school lol cute 🥰

Hey darkness, I just wanna say thank you I started listening to your narrations a long time ago at the begging of my freshman year so your first year on youtube, I'm now a senior in high school with a few months away from graduation and i can genuinely say thank you for making my childhood awesome with the stories and everything. your videos have helped me soo much since the beginning and they often played at 3 am whiling rushing to do assignments late at night, or isf i was down they would cheer me up. thank you darkness
  • 3 hours of no adds and great stories, my day just got a lot better thank you sir for the breath of fresh air with these great narratives.
  • Time stamp 45- if that “thing” appeared every night and is starting to revisit him again then why not take a picture or video with your phone being that it’s visit are starting up again. Right I’m sure everyone would love to see it
  • I really don't know how brave I think I am to be camping in pitch darkness....listening to this. Only one awake and I need to tinkle. I've scared myself with this. I tinkle in the morning.
  • hill 29 is hands down my favorite scary story. i remember when i first listened to it, it was a cold night and i couldn't fall asleep so i just lie still for the whole video. i was totally immersed in the story and for some reason it just stood out to me. im glad that you also thought it was a notable story. also, love from canada!

I love stories from Arkansas. I live here, grew up here and I hunt in the woods of Northwest Arkansas. Yes, there are things out there. My father in law was a Game warden for almost 40 years. I asked him once about bigfoot sightings. He didn't look at me when he answered. he said he hadn't seen any but knew others had. That's all he wanted to say on the matter.
  • The stories that stood out to me the most was the one called “the whimpering thing”, which I think was read sometime in 2019? Then there was one about this incessant but faint howling that a person kept hearing on their property and one morning they saw a messed up looking deer in their driveway and the noise was coming from that. Third, there was a story going around that have been narrated by a number of horror narrators and it was about this canine like creature on a family farm that Three different generations had to deal with.

Oh my gosh! I am listening to this with one headphone so I can still hear my kids and my son randomly growled really deep ( I didn't realize he had walked back into the living room) and I almost peed on myself! He scared me so bad!

Out of all the scary storytellers in YouTube, you have got to be my favorite. You're the only one who doesn't break sentences up into 3 words at a time, emphasize the wrong parts of sentences or otherwise read at a seventh-grade level. No offense to the other channels, but I would subscribe to them as well if I could get through a story without being enraged by poor reading skills ..

I've been listening to videos like this for so long trying to find a story about that type of monster in the woods. I'm from Arkansas and when I was 8 years old me and my cousin walked up on an abandoned house in the woods and the exact creature he described in the first story was hanging out of the window. It looked surprised kind of caught off guard it just hung there in the window slowly showing its teeth. I'm literally tearing up rn. the most horrifying looking thing I've ever seen in my entire life! it's been 20 years now and I've never told anybody. This really gives me the creeps because I still live on the same land that we seen it on.
  • @Jopsyduck
Congratulations Flaska, you've found a weeping angel.
  • @Kimvisible
This was an insanely incredible comp, pleeease do this again! These stories were fascinating and all resonated as truth with their profound detail. I am one hundred percent enthralled by monsters/creatures/cryptids, etc, in the forests. What is further interesting are not only the possibilities of creatures in the forests but derranged people. Again, these stories were great and this is easily my new fave video, thanks so much.
  • Love this video! I always wonder what stories you guys (horror narrators) think are the scariest! Can’t wait for this one! Perfect timing also now I have something new to listen to while I clean!

Does anyone remember a story about a canadian search and rescue dude looking for a missing person? He finds a cave with a flintlock pistol in it alongside newer evidence of people and goes inside. He ends up face to face with a pale humanoid and shoots it with his flaregun. The creature catches the sizzling flare in it's fingers and looks at it curiously, giving our guy time to escape. The narrator decides that it was probably a "vampire" that had stalked the region since before the first white settlers. Does this ring any bells? It was the scariest! It gave me nightmares. 😱
  • Regardless of whether or not it's true, I think the Leer is probably my favorite story from this compilation It's an interesting thing, a creature that moves only when you don't look at it
  • Always had a favorite list too. Got my wife and kids into these stories especially during road trips, it’s a nice time killer.

Ok so Hill 29 is a really well written story. There’s no way that wasn’t written by either an exceptional writer or a professional one. He describes his surroundings far too well for it not to have been written for entertainment.I would have liked to know if they found their friends and what they saw.
