As someone who cruises for both work and leisure, I’ve seen cruisers make a lot of the same mistakes over and over again on European sailings. Everything from not booking excursions soon enough to taking a poorly planned transatlantic flight, it seems that first-time cruisers make the same mistakes when taking European cruises.

Even if you didnt get any excursions, just walking around the European ports seems like enough

Although most Europeans speak (some) English, it is very much appreciated if you use some expressions in the local language. It ‘s a fun preparation to make a list of expressions like good morning, thank you, good night etc. In several languages 😊

Thanks! We mix our travel for Europe. Started with transatlantic sailing to get to Europe - price just a bit more than flights. Then a week of land visits to Prague and Budapest. Finished with a river cruise. Amazing vacation taking advantage of having the time to travel like this.

i hate neighbours being loud well into the night so a balcony cabin wouldnt suffice but i like a balcony to sit outside and smell the deabreeze and marve l at the ocean. so i feel like i am caught in the proverbial loop. how much time per day do u spend on a balcony when in such a cabin !?

Midwest and you're not used to heat? Had worse heat in Kentucky (105+100%humidity- same in St Louis/Chicago/Omaha/KC) than Death Valley(29Palms 115+15%)
  • Taking a cruise in August that goes to Kavala Greece, Ephesus Turkey, Istanbul, mykonos and Santorini. Which of these ports, in your opinion, do you not need to purchase tours. Thank you in advance!

I have a question regarding internet onboard a cruise ship. I’m planning to go to Europe and was wondering how reliable and fast the internet is onboard. I’m a teacher and I’m thinking about meeting my class via Zoom to teach for 3 hours every day. If the Internet isn’t good, I’ll probably need to ask for a substitute. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you 🙏 I enjoyed this video very much.

Nothing worse than a cattle herd excursion. No thanks.
