For the past year I've been trying to figure out why it squeaks and no mechanic has figured it out.... Through all of my searches. Why didn't I come across this video then. THANK YOU!!

Thank you so much even before I find out if I have that problem. I left my car with my mechanic for a month and they couldn’t find it. Only view videos and with yours I’m quite sure that is what I have in my Toyota verso. Thank you 🙏 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Thanks for doing this. I'm at the age where it's a little hard to get under cars and look around and a little pointer saved me some time.

Taken my 2015 Corolla to a few mechanics and no one could figure it out. I’m 100% certain there’s an issue. I diagnosed driveshaft/cv axle by another video I watched.

I love your videos man, not too long and straight to the point.

Thanks so much. Just did the struts recently too. Going to start here instead of right to ball joint.
  • Thanks Brian stupid me went over a curb but I couldn't see any damage but it started clunking right after that. Didn't check the sway bar but struts seem good so will check this tomorrow. Will be great if that's it. Its driving me nuts and it used be so quiet before. Thanks for putting out good info.

Working on my daughters 02 Corolla. Just changed the struts but still a bit of a thump. I'll look into sway bar bushings. Great vid. 2nd one that's been helpful!

I have been hearing a clunking noise on the passenger side, specifically when going over bumps. I now have a list of things to check out, including this one. I have a 2000 toyota celica.

Awesome!! Thanks. I have the same car and it was driving me nuts. I was convinced the brake pads were rattling, but no it is the sway bar.

I think this is the same thing my 03 Camry has. Similar sound and recently squeaking noise. The guy that sold me the car told me that the power steering hose needs to be replaced at some point.. The shocks are fine and the car pulls slightly to the left. I really think all the indicators point to what you described. I'll follow up on what it was and going to check the bushings

Final the rear front contol arms which is simply a bar on the rear susension are know to fail as well espically the Camry's from the early 90's that have the same set up. The rear will make a banging nosie and the casue is due to the bushings on the front control arm/bar busing go bad which make the nosie. It happen to one of my other co-workers at work with His 1992 Camry Wagon which has over 262,000 miles and still going.

SHOOT DUDE PLEASE USE YOUR JACK STANDS! I see you have them, my brother had a class mate who died under a car when the floor jack gave out! Thank you for the info I am going to take a closer look at my bushings.

My 2002 Corolla has started making this noise. Only happens at around 20 mph going over lumpy asphalt and speed bumps. At least it doesn't sound like something potentially life threatening. Off to the mechanic sometime this week.
  • If you have a clunking noise over bumps and you have a vibration at highway speed that doesn't always happen at the same speed, your likely culprit is your drive axles (constant velocity axles). The inner axles are designed to move in and out, as well as spin when going over bumps. When these wear out they will cause vibrations and clunking noises. If you pay someone to perform the repair it will likely cost around $700.00 depending on your location. If you are mechanically inclined, or are feeling adventurous, you can perform the repair yourself at a cost of around $160.00 if you own or borrow the necessary tools. I recommend replacing the transmission output seals while the axles are out and also recommend that the axle nut be replaced as well. If you do this job, TORQUE ALL NUTS AND BOLTS TO MANUFACTURER"S SPECIFICATIONS! Remember to buy the proper transmission fluid because the transmission will need to be drained to perform this repair.

We need to get the Stabilizer bar replaced in our 1998 Corolla. Does it need an alignment once it is replaced? VERY annoying noise I must say
  • changed my struts and engine mounts and i still have a noise, imma check this first thing tmrw morning, will update.

I own a 1998 Ford E350 4x4 Van and over bumpy roads the suspension make noises and it really isses me off. I am afraid of taking it to the nearest 4x4 Shop top service it and make sure the suspension is in good working order and perhaps get rid of the noises because they will charge me an arm and a leg even i there is nothing seriously wrong with it. My question is, does 4x4 rigs make noises over unpaved bumpy roads? Is it expected to hear some suspension noises over bumps? The van rides smooth and noise free on paved highway roads. Thanks
