This fells like a post apocalyptic future where humans went extinct an are now replaced by some robot like creature, that explains why the video mentioned "system failure" and why all humans we've seen in the series so far fall into the uncanny valley spectrum, I really enjoy this series, keep it up

Leaving the "best mom" as a stick figure representation is pure genius it's often said that what we can imagine is usually worse than what it really is , no need to design an unsettling monster when you can give our brain the tools to do it themselves
