  • Absolutely stunning. Between the work of hanging the wall covering and the construction of the paneling...it is quite easy to see why you praise Amaury so much. A real artistic carpenter. I’m so happy for all of you at the chateau.
  • OMG Amaury is worth his weight in gold, his attention to detail is absolutely amazing, the room is stunning 🤩🥰
  • Amaury’s work is utter perfection. What an amazing talented man. The patience he must have to accomplish something like this it’s unbelievable. What an enormous asset you have at the Château. Not just another wonderful addition to your family there but the talent he brings along with him can’t be measured.

Stunning is not the word. Absolutely outstanding work by Amaury, he is a true craftsman. The combined vision of everybody in the Chateau along with the talent that runs through every individual is so inspiring. Chateau de LaLande couldn't have landed in the hands of better people.
  • That hidden door is a masterpiece. Amaury you are a master craftsman the salon looks spectacular.
  • Philip has a designer’s eye. He was right about the color and wrapping the wallpaper around the corner.
  • Amaury is truly a craftsman. His talents will be in high demand from other chateau owners.
  • Cousin Amaury is now an official master craftsman and artisan… He deserves a gold medal and a big pay bonus! Absolutely amazing! The time and the patience! Unbelievable! Congratulations on creating a stunning room! The hidden door is fabulous… I can visualize Stephanie wearing a historical gown nonchalantly leaning against the hidden door sipping a glass of wine and all of a sudden the door quietly opens, and Philip’s hand gently pulls Stephanie‘s arm and whisks her inside for a secret kiss! Enjoy! Bravo!
  • Amaury is a master craftsman, so creative and precise and obviously loves his work. Quietly working away in the background, never seeking attention, he comes across as humble and sincere. A great addition to the chateau family.
  • There are no words! I’m in awe of everybody who’s had a hand in the transformation! Amaury is a master. My husband said that the green on the fireplace was the perfect colour to make the picture stand out and I agree. Love the hidden door! Take a bow all of you. You’re doing the chateau proud. Xx

We must thank God twice for Amaury and his talents! The room looks extraordinary!
  • Amaury's amazing ability, achieved an artisan appearance, allowing an ancient chateau sitting room to come alive again. A wonderful example to young people. Showing that education is not a waste of time. His love and dedication for for his craft shines through. Self deprecating humour and work ethic are a joy to watch. An invaluable asset to the La Lande family. Thank you for sharing .Stay safe.

Amaury! Not only are you a soft spoken (and from what I can see) kind gentleman but you are seriously an amazingly skilled craftsman. What I can see is that this chateau has changed your life by finding you a life partner and a career with your family but YOU have changed the life of the chateau as well. I literally don't think another would have the same amount of love and detail. You are a true asset to this chateau.
  • Fantastic! Amaurie will be part of the history of the chateau forever! The changes and sympathetic work is second to none. Bravo's all round!
  • Amaury should be so proud of creating such beautiful work that will last as long as the chateau. What a beautiful work of artisanship. Philip was absolutely right about the fireplace color--the darker color just recedes into the background. Congratulations to you all on completing this stunning room.
  • I certainly hope that Amaury has signed his work behind the paneling and that you have included a history of the room and the inspirations for it's current state to inform the generations yet to be born. It is magnificent.
  • @mreed71
The woodworking that Amaury did is absolutely fabulous and fascinating.
  • Incredible craftsmanship. This man's dedication to his carpentry is simply breathtaking. Without this skill being 'in the family' the cost would have been so prohibitive, it might never have been done in this room. And whatever you did agree, it was a bargain. I am in awe of you all, and the way you complement one another in getting the design and execution done so creatively, beautifully. Very well done. Once again, another gem.
  • I was seriously struck with awe when I witnessed Amaury's finished worksmanship. My throat tightened and my eyes filled with tears when I imagined the impossible scenario that you might not have adequate fire drills with fire extinguishers close by. You are all so gifted. What a beautiful room. Loved the shot of your mother at the window.
  • Blown away by Amaury's craftsmanship! Would love to know what wood the paneling, etc. is made of, and more about where Amaury learnt his craft and gets his inspiration from.
