1984 I'd just graduated High School and it was indeed Summer in Australia. My Brother had a mate who owned a Movie Theatre and The Karate Kid had just come out. We had the whole cinema to ourselves and I'll never forget Cruel Summer coming on and now it's seared into my memory as one of my all-time favourite songs of the 80's. The best of times.
