Do you think that this aggressive strategy pays off in the long term? 🤔
  • Watching Hellmuth getting more and more bewildered as the session went on was so incredibly satisfying.
  • @befreud
Phil: "I know how to beat these guys..." Also Phil: Goes all-in and leaves the tournament...
  • @Discipline8193
Perkins won a hand, beat the bluff, and was STILL confused. This cannon is a legend.
  • @flint9759
From what I've seen, one of the things that really set this loose cannon apart from the rest was that he won his early games and said the right words, making the other players respect him. He knew when to play to look aggressive while not playing so much he shows a few weak hands in a row. That was enough to make other players doubt themselves when up against him, and led to his victory.
  • "I'm speaking the truth" - Phil "No, you're speaking your OPINION, MAN" - commentator I love those commentators
  • There needs to be another big game series! One of the best poker shows ever!
  • @Ballen81587
Think of myself as a pretty aggressive player but I wouldn’t have the stones to make half the moves he did
  • @olegebloek
Man, I feel like Phil Hellmuth would be an unstoppable force in poker if he had just a touch more humility. A lot of his mistakes seem to come from a "I'm Phil Hellmuth, I can't let these amateurs beat me" kind of place.
  • @charliej8104
Martinez’s speech play is next level. He baited hellmuth at least twice and for sure countered hellmuths speech play with a bracelet compliment
  • @jamesbell1613
He caught Phil bluffing and tried to insult his good call and couldn't shut up. 😂
  • @iofaccioitubi
the hand against PH is a masterpiece. It could seems easy to call there or that he made just a fool move. But he followed his thoughts from the post flop to the end. Not easy not to be conditioned by the enviroment, such good players around you, televised event.....bravo Max!
  • @kelly00000111111
"qucik! someone get a mirror and a sudoku puzzle!" haha this commentary was some of the greatest in the history of live poker
  • He really shut the pros up, though. That was beautiful to watch. They act like such a pack of hounds, taking turns bullying the "loose cannons", usually, and he had them scared and befuddled. 😊 I enjoyed it immensely. 😂
  • @swiftdasher
Hellmuth took that like a champ at the end, so out of character for him.
  • @altar7885
Really happy for Elky. Met him in Korea when he was a pro-gamer. When he told me he was going to transition to poker I was like "uh-oh..." He told me it was quite similar to pro-gaming, but I had a hard time believing him. Glad I was wrong
  • I love that call with ten 9. Phil's comment of "I hope you don't have the worse full house" made his very polarizing bet seem even more like a bluff.
  • Let's be open about the facts here, everyone at that table was afraid to get into heads up pots with Max. That is the exact spot you want your opponents in, afraid and ready to be lead by emotions rather than reason. Good player this max.
