I Did 75 Hard, the Realistic Way *was it worth it?*

2 workouts a day, follow a diet, drink a gallon of water, read 10 pages, take a progress photo and no cheat meals.....that sounds... MISERABLE. Get your Pod Cover at www.eightsleep.com/keltie, use code KELTIE for $250 off. BUT after a summer of chaos and fun I was craving routine and a challenge BUT honestly 75 hard has never really spoke to me. SO I decided to change up the challenge in a new way that seemed more productive and realistic for me. Enjoy The 4th last episode of My Wellness Diary Series

To address the comments I’m already seeing, my weights actually is the exact same in the before & after pictures of the thumbnail. No part of this challenge was for weight loss. Biggest difference is in the second I had 💩 before I took the photo. because I was sleeping better and more regular 😂 and standing up taller cause honestly was just feeling prouder by the end of the challenge(and doing my posture correcting exercises more) . Friendly reminder that progress pictures only mean so much and lighting, poses, and 💩 scheduled can change them so much haha. It was cool to look back at the photos and just see how much straighter I was standing ☺️ for that reason I recommend photos. But doesn’t mean my before was worse/better, it just is what it is lol. I like taking progress photos (whether it be workout form, skin, etc), cause you never know where your journey will go. But I know that’s not the case for everyone ❤ do what works best for you! Friendly reminder for 2024 physical progress is cool, but how you feel about yourself is 10x more important.
  • Everything and everyone is adjustable. Not fixable, you are not broken honey. 🖤

75 Hard seems more toxic than beneficial to me. I love that you rewrote it for what actually aligns with your wants and needs! ❤
  • I don’t know who said it but my favourite quote that really resonates with me is “Perfect is the enemy of good”. Not everything needs to be 100% effort and perfect but I am better to just do what I can and be content with pretty good. I appreciate your vulnerability and hope these words connect with you as much as they did me. Love you and keep being your authentic self! ❤

I'm an RN and did 75 hard (I guess the unrealistic one? the original) in 2020. After I did it, I realized that I could go on and challenge myself more so in 2021, even though I had never even ran a 5k, I trained hard and ran a 1/2 marathon. In 2022 I decided that I had worked on my body and my soul, so 2022 would be the year I would go for the mind & advance my degree, and so I did. But exercise took a back-seat that year and I ended up gaining weight and learned that despite all I had accomplished, I yielded only a year of giving off negative energy because I had absolutely no me time when going to school full time and working full time. Then 2023 rolled around and I vowed to go back to my running happy place and try to complete another 75 hard. By this time I was working longer shifts, not the 8 hour daily shifts like the first time I did 75 hard, but now 12-14 hour shifts in ICU. I made it 35 days. I realized that an ICU nurse with only 4 hours of sleep was not fair to my patients. A week later I injured myself going for a regular run and was told by the doctor to take 3 months off. And so here I am, starting my 2024 journey, now with incorporating weight training to strengthen my muscles, and also lots of grace to tell myself, if I don't have it all perfect yet, it does not make me less valuable. 75 hard really is about two things...mental toughness, and keeping the promises you make to yourself....which means to be true to yourself. Great job, Keltie! I love seeing others embrace this challenge, whether it is the original version or not, because it's about becoming true to yourself.

I love how you took this program and made it your own AND gave yourself grace. I know giving ourselves grace isn't the easiest thing to do but you did it! You are amazing ❤

Your emotion with not picking at your skin… I feel that!! I’ve been picking since I started getting acne at 12 years old. I don’t think I’ve ever gone a day. I’m 32. Even when it’s clear, I pick. There’s nothing broken about us. It’s muscle memory and emotional habits. But I do wish I could go without doing it one day
  • @Michylooloo
I did my own version of 75 hard to get through my dissertation lmao. I did it twice and was able to use that as a way to gamify the process. I graduated in May with my PhD 🎉🎉! Frisella was totally right in that it is a mental game and I will make you stronger. It’s good to be able to customize it to align with your goals, whether or not that was his original intention!
  • Thank you Keltie for your vulnerability. Your videos are really soothing and I love that you’re transparent about every step. You did great, I hope you have a great year

'Trying to be good at everything sounds so exhausting.' Preach. I felt this in my soul. I've been trying to be a good partner, sister, worker, content creator, daughter, focus on mental health, physical health, etc. for the past few months, most of which has had its fair share of numbing trauma (I won't trauma dump, but it's been hell). Burnout hit me like a freight train. I'm trying to take things slowly, knowing that I can't take on EVERYTHING anymore. The most difficult lesson? Learning that's okay. I'm not lazy. I'm doing the best that I can, and that's good enough.

You're human, not broken. You're also such an inspiration. Truly. As a fellow musician, I often struggle to focus on things like sleep, exercise, or practicing the piano for the sake of its therapeutic benefits. This video brought me a lot of peace, compassion, and inspiration. I really love this video and honestly, each one that you put out on your channel.
  • @amylocke5666
I love this! As someone who was just diagnosed with ADHD at 30, I too feel like I'm ready for a good challenge! I've been waiting in this new year instead of pressuring myself to have a goal on the first...and I'm glad I waited because this is it ☺️ I love that you made your own rules so I appreciate the help and motivation...and your honesty in your struggles because I struggle with biting my nails EVERY day of my life so I appreciate everything you disclosed. You are a strong, badass woman 🤘
  • @youngmamasvlog
My absolute favorite take on 75 hard. Cool to see someone making this challenge their own and while being difficult its still attainable.
  • Keltie! Thank you for your vulnerability. This was so beautiful. As someone who has OCD and struggles with "toxic vices" as well, I appreciate this video sooooo much.
  • @hollyhoover1021
I love that you’re open about the skin picking. I also deal with it. Progress is progress! I’m proud of you!
  • @daniellemaas6212
Your breakdown is so comforting. Hurts to see you so sad but I’m feeling so so so similar in this season of life. I am taking your ‘75 hard comes to me’ as a sign it’s my time too. Can’t wait to see the Keltie that comes in 2024 ❤️‍🔥
  • @kristanvw1563
Welcome back ❤❤ I thought about doing 75 hard, but I think it'd mess with my head too much and make me obsessive. I really like the way you did it, goal focused but realistic. Happy New Year!!
  • @awkwardatlas5623
She's baaack! Can't wait to see what you've got in store for 2024 and to (hopefully) grow alongside you!
