I'm quite sure that the lottery winners deserve this gift. Most Southeast Asians who are living here come from countries overwhelmed by wars and violence. They know great danger and have witnessed great suffering. Laos was in the path of warring nations from the 1960's through the 1970's. So many people were displaced or disappeared. The U.S. is fortunate to receive these people. Mr. & Mrs. Chang-Saffan and friend deserve the comfort of knowing they will be able to pay bills and have money for enjoyment.
