ā About jlwii2000:
When I started my channel I did not choose a catchy name because I did not think that I would be a major model railroading video source one day, so I apologize for the strange name. My channel has a variety of info about Model Railroading in many scales, primarily HO scale. I try to respond to everyone's questions to help them along with their journey. Overall, I hope my relaxed yet descriptive approach to modeling will assist those new and old in this great hobby. - James

Athearn did their homework for their CSX units. The ditch lights on the CSX Spirit of West Virginia are different than the other units which is prototypical. Great attention to detail
-
Athearn use to make metal hand rails 20 years ago on the old blue box just answer one of your followers was asking about now back to the model it looks great James thanks for sharing always enjoy your videos.
-
Man I want one of these!! Itās hard to beat the CSX bright future scheme it really pops!
-
Very cool locomotives, thanks for sharing šš»

I personally do like the Athearn Genesis ac44 but unfortunately they don't have a "power booster" already installed(dirty track or other issues) and that's a major factor in me not wanting the ac44. Also, they cost more than Scale Trains. Another reason but I don't knock anyone who wants Athearn.

I have the cefx version, impressive indeed. Like your in depth reviews. No issues with this one, no broken parts or handrails either
-
hello James & it's is Randy and i like yours video is cool & Thanks James & Friends Randy
-
Thanks for the review.
-
Why donāt these manufacturers making high end high dollar locomotives use wire formed handrails? Wavy handrails take so much away from the look
-
I like that Amtrak (zephyr?) consist in the background
-
Great review! 6289 I received yesterday was also afflicted with the wavy hand rails. I'm hoping that they'll maybe straighten on their own once acclimated? If you look at the patch on the rear of 6289, each side has flames. I had heard of this and thought it was just folklore. Nope. š It's a great unit and will take a minimal weathering to look the part.

Hey, on the layout Iām building all (except one engine Iām trying to get because eBay sent it to the wrong address, but the seller is trying to get it to me) are DC except the engine I just mentioned which is DCC. Is there anyway I could have one DC engine sitting on a siding or something and have another DC running? I wonāt to be able to store engines on the layout and not just cars, but i donāt know how to do that with having multiple DC engines on the layout.

I had a genesis GEVO that made a LOT of drivetrain noise, are the G2s the same?
-
Apprently the scale trains ones can pull 10 ounces
-
Anybody had the ST one and also Athearn, and have a preference for one over the other? I bought a coupe of the ST ones and would like a couple more. Should I go with Athearn, or wait for the ST round 2?
-
$310 what a joke. I take a Scale Train over this anytime, But great review as always.

Great review. Athearn forgot to add the AC traction motor sound and it could've been tweaked to be a more powerful puller like Scaletrains

What's a AC4000CW? ;p I really enjoyed your video, thank you for the review.
