Persona has been a series loved by many to the point where the fans love this game so much that developers have gone and remade the games due to its overwhelming popularity. Hype for Persona continues to rise, and many people tell me to check it out more and more every day. As a JRPG fan I feel I must check out what makes persona such a gem. Enjoy me reacting to Persona for the first time. I have no idea what's happening in the past games but watching the openings will be awesome & I'll make some predictions about what I think based on my JRPG experience.

Persona is So Great! Which was your favorite and what should I do next on this Journey of Persona!:_EZYEZKEYS::_EZYEZYNICE:
  • Fun little fact: Masahiro Sakurai liked the user interface for Persona 5 enough that it was the primary reason Joker was added to the Smash Brothers roster.
  • Persona changed after 3. Its become a massive hit which is why Persona 3, 4 and 5 has so many spinoffs.
  • @Sketchi_
The reason he’s called Teddie in one opening and Kuma in the other is because he’s one of the few characters who has a different name depending on if you’re playing in English or Japanese
  • @GIRru11
26:30 so a cool thing about this game is that Persona 3 and 4 have different singers and different vibes for their songs and since this game, which is called Persona Q, is a crossover of the two games, The game has a battle theme that has two different versions, one for the Persona 3 cast and the other is for the Persona 4 cast. In the dancing games they made a new version of that song that combines both versions into one and it sounds really good

When Persona first started the vision for the series was very different. It was originally an offshoot of an offshoot of the Shin Megami series, which is still big in Japan. In fact, they're still loosely related (all the monsters in Persona were in Shin Megami first). It was only around Persona 3 when the franchise really grew bold enough to become its own series of full-effort titles and embraced its unique features. Now Persona does very well both in and out of Japan, especially Persona 5, and has a style and themes all its own.
  • @BeyondBlue22
There's actually still a couple you missed! Persona 5 Tactica and Persona 3 Reload openings came out after this video was uploaded. There's also a few anime openings you could check out. Persona 3 had a single movie opening, there was one called Persona Trinity that I don't know much about. Persona 4 has at least 3 anime openings, 2 for the original and at least 1 I know of for the Golden anime. The endings are amazing as well, especially the first one called Beauty of Destiny. Persona 5 also has a couple openings and endings, the openings are unironically better than the anime itself lol. If you want to check those out, that'd be cool! Also you gotta do some OST reactions, because the openings are only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the music this series has to offer.
  • They're not guns. They're essentially the training wheels of persona summoning; they don't need them as adults. And yes, there's an in-game reason why they look like that
  • You forgot to react to persona 3 reload (remake) and persona 5 tactica
  • @v2099
persona is set in the same world, with a few years in between. you need not play sequentially, but if you do you may just hear/read/see a call back of the previous games, e.g. in P5 if you interact with the TV sometimes there will be news segments interviews with p4 and p3 casts
  • @meikisaragi1445
I'm glad persona is getting more fans. So hype for Persona 3 Reload. Btw you should react to Reload Opening later.
  • @Gestrid
Just in case you're confused: The video you watched played every Persona opening in release order. That includes remasters (ex. Persona 1 and both Persona 2 games on PSP), spin-offs (ex. Persona 4 Arena and Arena Ultimax), and rereleases with more content (ex. Persona 3 FES, Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royal). They weren't ordered from Persona 1 to 5, but rather by release date. The remasters and rereleases got new openings with each version, and the spin-offs all have their own openings as well.
  • @KorehaMugen
8:06 there is the supernatural entity called the joker and the protagonist of p5 called joker. They are different
  • I enjoyed seeing the evolution openings of Persona and how far a game has come and withstood the test of time all these years later. I'm not as familiar with the lore and franchise myself but I do appreciate the vision and passion to create this world for others who are fans and more knowledgeable on this game. I do gotta say the music throughout the whole timeline of Persona has been a masterpiece definitely a signature trademark. I look forward to learning more about the Persona universe along with the characters and can’t wait to see more videos about it from you EZ! Awesome job Ninja and stay on the grind Legend!😎🥷🏾🔥⚡️:_EZYEZYNICE::_EZYEZLIKE::_EZYEZKEYS:
  • Persona 5 is the one game in the series I have played in its entirety along with P5 Royal, which is like their Extended Cut, and it is an emotional rollercoaster. You laugh, you get angry, and you cry. Very high on my list.
  • @daviddiaconu4130
"Don't they all take place in the same school" Trust me if that would be the case that school would be shut down by the second game 💀. No they're all different schools. Everybody got problems I guess
  • @gravajaumbros
I know at least one other person already mentioned it, but there are some openings you're missing because they're newer than this video. The only game opening for a game that's already out is Persona 5 Tactica, but they have released the opening for the as of yet unreleased game Persona 3 Reload. Both are pretty amazing. Tactica uses a different art style than any of the other games (though it's relatively similar to Persona Q and Persona Q2). And 3 Reload is just absolute fire as it's the newest and it's a main series game, so they went all out on it. Also, yeah, while Persona 1 (Revelations: Persona) and Persona 2: Innocent Sin and Persona 2: Eternal Punishment have multiple openings because they've been re-released, it's once you hit Persona 3 that you start seeing all the spin off titles which give you a lot of openings for each number. Persona 3, Persona 4, and Persona 5 are all base games that had a sort of updated version with extra content added in Persona 3 FES, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royal. They also each got rhythm game spin-offs, Persona 3 Dancing in Moonlight, Persona 4 Dancing All Night, and Persona 5 Dancing in Starlight (and while all technically canon, the dancing game for 4 is the only one that really had a plot to speak of, which was honestly way better of a plot than I expected from a dancing spin-off). Then as part of Persona 4, but also with lots of ties to Persona 3 you have Persona 4 Arena and Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. Persona 3 and 4 crossover in Persona Q, while 3, 4, and 5 crossover in the sequel Persona Q2. And then you have the Persona 5 spin-offs, Persona 5 Strikers (or Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers, same game) which is a Musou style game like Dynasty Warriors, and Persona 5 Tactica, a tactics game along the lines of Fire Emblem or X-Com or Mario Vs Rabbids. There's also Persona 5 The Phantom X (or just Persona 5 X) but it's a mobile game that's not available in English as of yet (not sure if it's even going to be) and I don't know if it has a proper opening. And then of course you have the upcoming Persona 3 Reload, which is a remake of Persona 3 (interestingly, while it will have new features of its own, it will not include the extra story that was in Persona 3 FES nor the option to play as a female protagonist that was in Persona 3 Portable, which was a P3 remake for the PSP). For the most part you can jump into the series in any number you want. Like Final Fantasy, you aren't using the same characters and continuing the same storyline from previous games. Obviously though, don't try to play a spin-off before you play the main game for that number entry if you don't want to feel lost. However, you can (and probably should) go ahead and skip the base game of 3, 4, and 5 for 3FES (or 3 Reload when it comes out), 4 Golden, and 5 Royal, as they have all the story of the base game plus more. The games do all take place in Japan in approximately the same year that the original game of the number came out (as in Persona 5 series takes place around 2016/2017 when P5 came out, and even though Tactica came out in 2023 it still takes place in 2017). There will be little references and easter eggs to previous games, but nothing that you need to know for the game you're playing. (For example, you can see posters around in P5 that advertise music made by a character from P4, but it's not important to the story.) Personal recommendation for where to start? Persona 5 Royal. Persona 5 is the most culturally relevant, right now, and has lots of quality of life stuff that previous titles do not have. (Particularly notably is that even if you prefer the story and characters of Persona 4 over Persona 5, I doubt anyone will argue that Persona 5 had WAY more interesting dungeons.) If you wait to play until after Persona 3 Reload comes out then you might want to start there instead, but really I'd just go for whichever one has characters that look more interesting for you first. Persona 5 also has the advantage that if you want more after you finish it then it has the most spin-offs to enjoy, but whether or not the spin-offs are worthwhile is another debate entirely. (Personally I've enjoyed all the spin-offs I've played so far, but I don't blame others who are less pleased.) So, uh, tl;dr - Yes, you're missing out not playing Persona, and you should play it.

the reason it looks like theyre shooting themself in the persona 3 openings is because they summon their personas through an evoker, which is a gun-looking device. this also ties into the fact that persona 3's main story theme is the acceptance of death as a part of life, shown with the saying "memento mori" which roughly means "remember, you will die"
