(Slight spoilers) I love how ice king immediately stopped simping once they said princess bubble gum is now 14, he has some morals left in there
  • Simon’s message to marceline always made me cry. The fact that they sang it togheter was just too deep hitting maaaaaaan

Aye Respect to Ice King for dipping when he saw Princess Bubblegum being the age of 13 💀

I love how the show works, simply because it is NOT justifying everything it does, but keeps recurring characters which themselves stay consistent

What makes adventure time soo good is that when a normal episode ands we still feel that the characters will still interact with each other organically

Adventure time was like a surreal fever dream. It was literally amazing. I hate when amazing shows end
  • "MARCELIENE COVER YOUR EARS." "MOTHERMOTHERMOTHERMOTHERMOTHERMOTHERMOTHER" is just a funny line

Pretty neat to think about how Finn grew up with the audience during the show, and I'm not just meaning in age. The boy's been through a lot, each adventure making him a little wiser, going from a bombastic youth to courageous young man, which is like the transformations we, the audience, go through while the show goes on. Not a lot of shows do that, characters remaining on one note the entire way, Finn's a special one.

Idk why but i remember this one line the Ice King says when gunther gets thrown into the sky and the ice king catches him and goes "GUNTHER, WHO TOLD YOU YOU COULD FLY" and it is still my favorite line yet.
  • The thing I love about shows like Adventure Time and Avatar The Last Airbender is that they grow up with you. They start silly and child like but evolve into shows so much deeper and more impactful with such strong and sometimes heavy messages

My favorite adventure time trope is introducing a joke character one episode and then they come back again and again and get progressively more fleshed out and important to the overarching story. Magic Man and Choose Goose are great examples of this
  • This show was truly a modern day masterpiece of a cartoon, as time passes it seems like we see less and less of these cartoons that you can really love with all your heart. The amount of work and time they spent building this world and the characters really shows. I remember watching this when it first came out, I'd always watch it on cartoon network but I never finished it. After seeing this though I know it's definitely worth the watch. Great video you recapped this series in a very brief but captivating way, I enjoyed the entire 1 hour 1/2 !!!
  • Hudson Abidere saying that Gunther had an evil soul was a huge foreshadow 😅

I remember when Adventure Time started, it was just this silly cartoon about a kid, his dog, and the adventures they have together, but holy shit it takes a turn real quick. I think I actually got whiplash from it lol, cause I remember not really being into it after that. Of course I came back to it at the very end, and holy crap that show went places 😮

I remember how i was a kid i would be scared of specific characters, but its so nostalgic for me that im currently crying a bit watching this whole re cap because it makes me remember simpler times where i wasn't so busy doing things

Ice kings story is so sad, and never would I have thought so after his first episodes with how goofy he is. I also like how in the new series Fiona and cake, the series was truly about Simon and the ending he got was satisfying

It’s crazy Finn is a reincarnation of Shoko and he ended up with 1 arm bcuz of his dad.. similar to her parents selling her arm. Thanks for this full timeline!
  • @Zephlo97
Finn being able to punch Marceline and hurt her in her giant bat form should have been the first sign of his superhuman strength.
  • @nathangarcia7569
I like to think that the show starts off silly and becomes more and more complex as an analogy for growing up as Finn is a young boy. I know it’s probably just head cannon but I find the idea so fascinating
  • i remeber being a 8-9yr old kid watching adventure time for the first time. it was a silly and fun show at the start and i loved it. as the show went on and the lore got deeper i was also hitting the age where i could understand the lore, and that made the viewing experience even more special. growing up with the show was something i’ll always remember, every time i rewatch it i love it even more
