Tiggy's expression when Victoria yips at 5:03 is the funniest thing I've seen this week.
  • Wow I have never heard Victoria Stilwell advise anyone to go on “less walks” but that’s what the dog needed❤️ I’m so glad it worked out in the end❤️ great job to owner and trainer🥰🥰 That dog sure got a lovely home❤️
  • I wonder how long she puppy sat for the person. I'm so happy she actually tried a lot before calling for victoria. it's SO rare!

Wonderful that Tiggy’s owner took him in when his original owner was ready to sell him—knowing full well what a challenge he could be. It is sad that the original person was ready to give up on him and sell for money, rather than search and give him to the best possible family. But he found it either way! He is a very lucky boy to now have an owner who invested the time and energy to accommodate him and find what’s best for him. ❤️

Doxies are great dogs, but they need a certain kind of owner. I can tell by this video that Tiggy's owner is a good one.

How fitting my dog is currently biting me like I'm a juicy roast
  • It is always a good idea to learn dog speak. All dogs do show and tell us what they need. Humans just rarely put in the time to learn it. Dogs read humans perfectly and shower us with limitless unconditional love. So it would be advantageous to try to learn their language wether with a professional like this or really putting the time and commitment on your own.

I absolutely love Tiggy. He's a cutie pie & very smart. He & his owner are a good match. One of the very best owners I've seen. Thank you for your videos & all you do for dogs & their familes❣️

Gosh, I love Dachshunds. They're just the best, flaws and all.
  • @MarkHyde
So much energy and activity. A cutie doxie though - hope this helps build a great relationship.
  • I love watching Victoria working with the dogs. I've a service dog that I trained with since a puppy. She'll be 10yrs old in a week. Have a new pup she's about 7mos now and she is VERY different training with. Episodes like this one are helpful with the new pup who is wild at times and a barker similar to this dachshund.❤❤❤

0:56 - 1:09 Wait...Did I hear that part well? Sell a puppy... SELL a PUPPY when you don't want him bc he's barky and anxious...Like if it was an old-era game console/cell phone or an unwanted toy... I know at least Amy "buying him" was for rehoming Tiggy in a better place instead of him being sold by his ex-owner to God knows who...But really? "Adopting/Fostering" would have sound better in terms and actions for giving him to another person... :I
  • Great video. If you have a dog that gets overwhelmed, you can use things like Rex Specs to cut down their side vision slightly. Just like blinkers are used on horses, the goggles cut out a little of their peripheral vision so they focus straight ahead. I trained with the clear lenses, and use the darker ones in the sun to protect his eyes. I bought them for eye protection, but noticed that he always stays focused ahead when walking!
  • I learned a new phrase today that I will definitely be using more in my GP vet hospital. We already try to reschedule nervous dogs with at least a few weeks/months between visits so that we aren't trigger stacking. Now I know there's a term for it.
  • Thanks so much for remarkable year of education and training and and love positive energy and LUV U ❤💚⛄️
