Lucas Candy has been open since 1896 in Haverstraw, New York. Together, owners Debbie Bertrand and Nick Loucas make candy canes, beer brittle, and a variety of chocolates.

    I wonder if they know the folks over at Hercules in Syracuse. Same process and same length of time in business. So happy to see traditional methods still used. Candy is an art.

  • The brittles looks like a popular Indian 🇮🇳 snack called Gurbadam or Jaggery Peanut where instead of sugar we use Jaggery

    I've made a lot of peanut brittle for Christmas over the year but never seen it made with beer, used to make home made candles for years .
