Day has been a head coach for 5 years. It took the great Jim Harbaugh at omnipotent Michigan 6 years before he beat Ohio State

Not an Ohio fan. Man the media is out to get Ryan Day fired. His winning % is amazing. What did Coach do to the media for them to hate him? I respect Day more than Kelly. LSU should cut Kelly before Ohio cuts Day.

Throwing my bias aside, it seems like the media is out to get Ryan Day fired. Yes, they have an amazing roster but it's Ohio State. Are we really amazed they put an elite roster together? No. One question for the media: if Ryan doesn't lead them to a national championship or a win over Michigan, who would and are they realistic options to replace him? I don't see a Jim Tressel or Urban Meyer type of coach waiting to get the call if Ryan doesn't achieve the media narrative this year.
  • In the future, Ryan Day will eventually be fired if he keeps avoiding recruiting dual threat quarterbacks. These are the quarterbacks that Michigan struggled against during Ohio States winning streaks. It’s open season if the QB doesn’t possess an effective running threat.

Expectation should be beating Michigan and getting to Indianapolis
  • Bucks showed what a Ryan Day offense is capable of by running up 3 points against a stout Missouri defense.

People need to chill. Winning a natty doesn’t just happen because you have the best roster. His job is safe for 3 more years at minimum.
  • Offensive line 100% has more than 1 draft pick for Ohio state lmao. Y’all are so foolish I don’t think it’s impossible to think all 5 offensive lineman for Ohio state will be within the first 4-5 rounds drafted within the next 2-3 years

That’s not new money being spent by Ohio State; they’ve been paying players for decades. Their NIL came together so quickly because it’s money that was already being spent on their players.

No one takes Ryan day seriously, he got exposed by Bama and UGA and Michigan.

It seems so strange that Day, for all the things he has going for him, does not understand some very basic things about this game. The importance of winning the LOS appears to escape him. The fact is that the OL is the greatest position group from which to control a game...and it remains such a large question mark. Someone, some group within the great OSU football machine is spoon-feeding Day with every advantage. But otherwise, Day just does not get it, have it.

They need to get vrabel now...should have got him after last season
  • Winning the B1G is a must, winning the Natty shouldn’t be all or nothing. They shouldn’t fire Ryan if he can’t win it all.

He has won the games that anyone would win with the teams He has put on the field. . . I mean Urban won 1 title and so did Tress, but they both had winning records against Meatchicken!!! That is the separating factor at this point. . . Beating everyone in the Big Ten is expected with the lone exceptions being Meatchicken and Penn St. So people always saying He has only lost a hand full of games means little to nothing. . . As most good coaches could say the same thing if they had his teams in this conference!
  • A fair expectation for OSU is that they will finish with one loss and maybe two. As is the case every year the media builds up OSU into a team that they are not. They are very good, but rarely as good as the press. For example: everyone is reporting that OSU will have possibly the best defense in the nation this year. Where did this defense come from? Michigan has scored 117 points on OSU the last 3 years. Did Ryan Day fire his entire defensive unit and draft a new one from players from some other combination of teams? Secondly, I keep reading how elite OSU's offense will be now that they have a new coordinator. Kelly was 35-34 at UCLA and 6-12 against ranked opponents. I fail to see how his hire is an improvement at any level over what OSU already had. I don't think OSU's new quarterback will be an improvement over the previous one either. The expectations have been set unrealistically high again this year setting up a great disappointment for OSU fans at the end of the season - especially if Michigan (a team that may actually have the best defense in the nation) beats the Buckeyes again.

I relish this season just to see the buckeye disappointment at the end of the season.

Really? Dude recruits like that and you wanna fire him? Lmao!
