A trial in Boston is underway in which prosecutors accuse Karen Read of killing her boyfriend, Boston police Officer John O’Keefe, in a drunken hit-and-run. The defense says the officer was actually beaten inside a home, and he was then dragged outside in the snowy cold, where he died. The defense evidence includes a Google search by people in that home: How long does it take to die in the cold? Hashing it out on NewsNation’s “Dan Abrams Live": Jesse Weber, attorney and and a NewsNation legal contributor; Misty Marris, trial attorney and legal analyst; and Arthur Aidala, trial attorney and radio host.

3:01 what Morrisey did by putting a video out publicly is completely unethical and he should be disbarred from being an attorney. Unbelievable what he did and said!

If you view the surveillance footage of Karen backing out of the driveway and hitting another vehicle and still think she’s guilty of hitting her boyfriend, you really need your head and eyes 👀 examined 🤦🏻‍♀️

For the Commonwealth’s case to work, we have to believe that not one of the 3 people who pulled up to the party & waited for someone they were picking up saw a body on the lawn of the house they were waiting in front of & not one of the 5 people who left the party saw that same body on the lawn. So, 8 people missed a dead body on a wide open typical subdivision lawn. Pretty sus.

What's with the winking BS? She never even looks at the cameras. She only started smiling when the Fed papers dropped.

The first responder is the best friend of the homeowners daughter, so she has skin in the game.

"... a desperate attempt to reassign guilt" is NOT what the DA should be advocating. His job is to serve JUSTICE! It's the jury's job to assign guilt. How is this man still a DA???

2:30 the EMT Katie McLaughlin Caitlyn Albert’s friend….(find pics of them partying online) 3:47 said NO ONE
  • If Brian Higgins and Brian Albert and Colin A. were really innocent, they would have collected all the camera images from the entire neighborhood together frantically to prove that they were innocent! But instead, everyone's camera images from the whole neighborhood that night, were suddenly no longer existing ( all evidence Karen was innocent disappeared too ) Think about that!

Of course they have skin in the game. The first responders They were also gathered by a police officer involved in this case possible involved in his death where they had a “meeting” of what happened that morning. And you often see first responders and the police having close interactions in their daily lives. Definitely skin in the game. Including the fact one of the home owners at the party that night who never not only didn’t help John but never even went outside when a dead police officer was on his lawn with emergency vehicles and police were all over his property. Explain that !!!!!!

I'm not saying whether she's guilty or not or who might have done it. What I don't understand, it seems to me that they're saying that fellow law enforcement officers killed him or "either" she did. There's no third option. If he went outside the house by himself and something else happened such as another car hit him or he was robbed. They seem to focus on two options only and nothing else.
  • I would really hate to be on this jury. This is going to be a messy, confusing trial.

Her statement was as DID I. and the killers THEN decided to use her as their framed victim. Not when they put him out there. No doubt they are going to say he was hit when he left or before he got into their house But then here comes Karen …
  • @acesslots5944
even if she did hit him with the car she did not do it intentionally

Killed or knocked out in the house....put out while snowing to get him hit by the snowplow.....searched "how long takes to die in the cold"....Why did they want him dead...what did he know?
