  • I am a 30+ yrs otr truck driver. I have driven through every state in the USA. I use 80/100watt bulbs in my standard headlights. I use HELLA motorcycle headlights with 90/130watt bulbs, mounted on top of my cab. The beam pattern for motorcycles and cars are different. These work fantastic on highbeam out to about 1mile. The low 90w lowbeams are great for hills where your standard headlights are pointing up, the overhead lowbeams are pointing down. Works great for curves just over the hill. I actually made adjusting screws for the top mounts. In onder for your lights to do a good job they must be aimed correctly and stay that way. Most vehicles on the road at night have headlights that are very poorly aimed. The only way to aim your lights is at night on a empty road. Good luck to you all. Safe driving!

Anybody else watching this for their motorcycle?
  • @Oldsmobility98
The cheap LEDs can be used as a great upgrade, if you've got an older vehicle with 4 sealed beams. Just put two of them in place of the high beam bulbs and you get a massive upgrade that you only turn on when there's no traffic in front of you. Safe, effective, and dramatically less expensive than all the bulbs this channel recommends. I did this with my trucks 4x6" bulbs, using LED headlights this channel claimed were terrible, and the improvement was massive. Now I'm looking for some 7" bulbs for my Mercury, and I'm probably going to go the same route. They also didn't talk about which of these bulbs will fit in old sealed beam applications, as they claimed at the beginning of the video.

Educational as always guys. If only there could be a way all potential headlight buyers would see this video first..!
  • 5 3/4s led review would be cool. Fits some vintage cars and alot of motorcycles.
  • It's such great humor listening to Harley guys trying to figure out how to upgrade their motorcycles to what comes on most motorcycles stock. Harley says they have a premium motorcycle but yet they make you buy the premium Parts at an extra cost. Just so you know I still have three Harleys and over 450,000 miles on them so I am not a Harley hater but I am a realist
  • @jakelish
Great review! I can't wait to order a set for my Fiero 😁
  • @rickmiller1425
I wish more people would watch your videos before buying lights!
  • @rdeason1982
Sorry but I am not spending $900-$1500+ for headlights. lol. If these companies were interested in selling good headlights and beating the china competition then they would make their products more affordable. Not to mention if these lights get damaged or stop working, then you get to fork out even more money for overpriced lights. Thanks but no thanks.
  • @robogoku
I see on the website that you guys sell Oracle Halos (both Halogen and LED) what are the Low and High beam Lux for those models? Great video!
  • Another note to add on the Holley Retrobrights is that they’re actually designed by Morimoto. 👍
  • @bird605
I ride a Street Glide Special and thanks to this video my search for the perfect headlight is finally over. I really like the wide beam of the Morimoto Sealed 7 2.0 and the high beam is simply amazing. Thanks for making this video your saving people money and saving lives.
  • @thanhiclez
So much information, but everything I needed to know. 1 thing lacking in majority of other headlight videos I've watched don't show the beam patterns.
  • @ryker4124
I have used Sunpie brand in my motorcycles for years and many bikes. All my friends seen mine and bought their own. Never had a problem with them. They light up the road curb to curb and far ahead. Road signs are visible way in the distance.
  • I’ve been running the KC Gravity Pros . They are awesome! KCs customer service is also outstanding!
  • @seanseoltoir
Pretty good review, but you should have specified a few more things about your testing scenario: 1. Brand and model of the lux meter 2. Distance between headlights if you were using 2 headlights at a time 3. Distance from the headlight(s) to the ground 4. Angle of the mounting plate with respect to the ground 5. Distance from the mounting plate to the base surface (wall) that you were measuring the lux off of That way, someone could duplicate your testing procedure with their headlights to determine how they compare. My first car had a 6V electrical system. Any light that is better than that is great...
  • @gw10758
Now if you could also do comparisons on the 4.5" spot beam and headlights that are out there for motorcycles... Thanks !!! I have learned ALOT today
  • @alexsteele1856
Vision X for the win! I may be a little biased though.... Sincerely, Alex with Vision X 😅
