PLEASE KEEP IN MIND when you are watching my videos: I am demonstrating the least expensive, quickest "backyard", "backwoods"methods for repairing or servicing your lawnmower. Replacing all components such as gaskets and fuel lines is always recommended when rebuilding or repairing equipment. With these videos I hope you are able to fix and repair your lawnmower yourself with minimal parts, knowledge and tools. Remember to always work safely and follow proper mechanic procedures. Thank you for watching!

$300 for a new carb? Shame on them . What a racket. Glad to have people like you to help keep our equipment running. Thank you!

Thank you so much for making this video. 50 year old woman with little mechanical know-how and this helped me to take apart my carburetor, clean it, replace gaskets, float bowl o ring etc. I couldn't have done it without this. Much appreciated!!

Excellent video. My Kohler Courage 24hp was a freebee from my neighbor because he said the engine was junk and not worth more than scrap. It had several issues including the fuel solenoid plunger being frozen tight. Watched your video and addressing the solenoid was easy. Runs great now. Thanks again.

I have this same motor on a Super LT 1554 Cub Cadet. I followed your instructions precisely and, my mower is up and running again. I'm very grateful for this helpful video as I'm not mechanically inclined. You saved me money.

Thank you for posting this video, it helped me with my Husqvarna with the same motor in it. Not a mechanic but your video made me feel like I have been doing this for years.
-
One important comment: The fuel solenoid needs to be grounded when testing. I was about to order a new $120 solenoid then I figured it out. Excellent video overall, gave me the courage to trouble shoot the carb on my non running GT 1554. Thanks Jeff, I learned a bunch.
-
Great video and step by step instructions. I was a little overwhelmed by the thought of replacing the solenoid but you made it look easy. Thanks.
-
Just want to say thanks! After watching this video, i knew exactly where to look. The fuel solenoid plunger/popper was definately a problem here.
-
Good Video! Used the same steps for a Dixon SpeedZTR zero turn being rebuilt. A few minor differences, but nothing to be concerned about. Today, after new spindles and blades, it runs and cuts like a dream! Thanks Jeff!
-
Awesome video! I was able to fix my problem no sweat! While I’m the littlest bit mechanically inclined I would have never tried to tackle this project on my own. Thanks for the detailed, step-by-step instruction!
-
Most comprehensive video that I have seen on this subject. Custom-made for us shade tree guys..

Like others in the comments, your video helped me find the issue! rebuilt the carb but didn't realize the solenoid was stuck. Watched your vid, tore it down, cleaned it and now it's good to go! Many thanks :)

My saviour,. My Husq. with a kohler twin has been surging. Watching what's involved with this repair. I will be taking it into the shop. I would lose and break parts. Many thanks for the $300 + you just saved me.
-
Jeff, THANK YOU! This made changing the carburetor on my crappy Kohler Courage 22 horse power engine a breeze. Thank you so much for the help.

My father's Cub Cadet with Courage engine been sitting for about 10 years. Obviously didn't start. Cleaned out the carb watching this video and cranked right up. Didn't even have to shoot cleaner to get it going again. Thanks!
-
Most appreciated. Very detailed. Thanks. I'm partially mechanically inclined. Don't know anything about a carburetor except what it does lol. Subscribed! Thanks again
-
I agree with Joshua Kazanovicz! Very good craftsmanship! No need to look further!
