Parkland shooter Nikolas Cruz is facing a possible death sentence after killing 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in February 2018. During the sentencing phase of Cruz's trial, a former student testified that he interacted with Cruz just minutes after the fatal shootings. John Wilford told jurors that he was really upset after having to evacuate the school and was waiting at a nearby McDonald's for his mother to pick him up when Cruz walked in. Wilford said as he was leaving, Cruz begged him for a ride, but he refused, saying something didn't feel right to him.

The fact that he walked past all of those empty seats directly to that booth and sat with a kid he didn’t know, after coincidentally shooting that kids sister and murdering 17 of his classmates is absolutely insane. and had the nerve to ask for a ride home. this is what a psychopath looks like.

This young man has taught us all a valuable lesson, it’s ok to be a good person but it doesn’t hurt to say no, this saved his life
  • His sister was actually shot four times and survived. 🙏🏻 Imagine how much more traumatizing it must have been when he realized he had come face to face with her predator.
  • The fact that he interacted with these kids after murdering their classmates..... It's bone chilling.

The hate in that young man’s eyes when he pointed him out.

Imagine how much it would have messed with his head if he had given a ride to the guy who just almost killed his sister.
  • I like that he starts off by acknowledging the witnesses continued education. Almost as a way of showing that they are thriving and will hopefully go on to live full and productive lives while this monster rots in jail and probably hell!!
  • Powerful moment at the end. If he had 2 minutes with that guy, justice would be served.

When he points to him and said Yup, I have so much respect for this young man. He’ll never forget that day
  • That stare down at the end! Let him know!! I can only imagine how his blood must have been boiling when he found out that the clown who shot his sister almost killing her just casually sat next to him & then asked for a ride.
  • I love the way he stared cruz down. I'm thankful he was not hurt that day at McDonald's. How horrific it must have been when he realized later who sat down there.
  • The murderer is such a coward, pretending to be a tiny child when he's 24! They're sitting him next to a massive lawyer to try and make the jury not give him the same sentence that he inflicted upon all those others Such a pathetic little coward

Sometimes you just have to go with your gut feeling, I know he did not know that he was the shooter, but still, you really cannot be a yes man always...
  • The way he looked at Nikolas after pointing to him....wow....I felt the anger in his eyes. I'm sure it was knowing his sister was laying shot 4 times by that pos and he was trying to get him to give him a ride so he could get away.

That is horrible to run into the one who shot your friends.
  • You can see Nick was fully aware of what he was doing. So much he sat down in McDonald’s with another teen to blend in.

It proves you have to listen to your instincts and he had an uneasy feeling about this kid he didn’t know begging him for a ride. He did his best to get away from him and Cruz just kept following him.
  • Notice how the kid never turns his back to Cruz. He knew something was up. And was trying to avoid him.
  • When he said yep after pointing him out he sounded so enraged. Poor kid. I can't imagine going through what he went through. Our "shooting"didn't even physically effect any student especially compared to this

The courage and compassion of these kids who managed to not be murdered but come forth as witnesses and have to relive that day again? 💯 Heroes ❤️❤️❤️❤️
