Auctions are a great place to pick up old tractors and this one was no different. My dad picked up this 1929 McCormick-Deering 1020 with a seized engine to use for a lawn ornament. It turns out the engine is in really good shape so we're going to get it running again. This isn't the best way to get an engine unstuck (it'll probably destroy a modern engine) but these old things have massive castings that hold up to some crazy loads... like shocking the flywheel over and over.

I love how he jumped in with his old man strength and cranked it like it was nothing. 💪💪💪

This is super cool and sounds amazing. Your dad is a wealth of knowledge! He really proved his old man strength when you tried to turn it over and couldn't match his speed.
  • Don't get me wrong, I still want you to get a big shop, but the variety on your channel has been incredible. The family videos lately are some of my favorites.

Note to self: no arm-wrestling with JR's dad. That man is in beast mode!

JR you are so lucky to have a father like you do. No father is perfect, but when you see a great one it’s easy to recognize. Love seeing you guys wrench together.
  • It's so cool to see purely mechanical machinery come alive a hundred years after it was new. No computers to foul things up, just pure mechanical knowledge.
  • @RighteouzBoy
Crazy to think tractors basically look and work the same way 100 years later…
