This is for my wife Debra, she passed away 7/27/2007. 😢 I love you honey & won't ever stop till the day I'm no longer here.
  • Does anyone else get super nostalgic listening to this song? This makes me remember driving in the car with my mother to get dinner. It makes me remember life when I had much less stress. This song doesn’t just remind me of my memories, it is a memory. I hope you all are safe and doing well during these hard times and have a good day. Edit 1: It’s midnight, currently. June 27, 2022! I cannot believe the amount of support this comment has received over all of this time, I feel so much genuine love for all of you. As I re-read this comment that I wrote two years ago, so seemingly straightforward, I remember just how vulnerable I had felt while writing it. I was dealing with the loss of a close friend, familial issues, and other personal troubles. Somehow, assisting others when I needed help myself was more than enough to make me feel better, at the time. If you ever need to hear it, remember that you and your well-being should always come first. Help yourself so you can be the best that you possibly can be when you lend a hand to others. Thankfully, I am more than happy to report that I’m doing so much better, now! It has taken such a long time, grieving is a long and difficult journey, one with no clear ending point. After time, however, it does get easier. You will not feel as low as that forever. Regardless, I truly wish that I could express my gratitude to you all, as I’m so incredibly fortunate to have all of these wonderful responses. I appreciate the honesty, the raw emotions that some of you shared when you replied. Never take being able to share your true feelings for granted, I love you all! Stay safe, and once more… have a good day :))💗

When this came out I was homeless, on drugs, and then jail. Now I have a house, job, and husband. This song and “Clover Cage - The Chess Piece” are the two songs that helped get rid of my depression. I just want to send love to everyone and I want everyone to know things will get better. We are in this together..I love you ❤️

Glad to hear a woman singing about how she needs a man. These days women usually sings about how they don't need a man.
  • memories of my husband..passed from pancreatic cancer....15 yrs ago....wish he would come sweeping in the door...thanks for the memory
  • This song is brutally sad and romantic at the some time. It tugs on every heart string in a slightly gritty country/western sort of way. It's both beautiful and sentimental, and it takes you places you don't always want to go.
  • I lost my Dad to cancer in 2014 and he was a drinker and this was one of the songs he played on repeat. This ones for you Daddy.

My husband sent me this song 10 years ago. This song was published 10 years ago and it’s also been 10 years he’s gone to Heaven. His daughter’s almost 10 now.
