I love that pause before Spamton said “Kris.” It’s like he literally was hopeless and then got an idea.

The way the first “heaven” is delivered is downright horrifying

I fucking love how the arm cannon/"Buster" unfolds (and the delivery of "I'M SO PROUD OF YOU, I COULD KILLED YOU!")

The detail of the strings being able to clip through him, and the way they feel differently animated than he does, really adds to how they're not of this world. Those strings have probably been there the whole time... he's only [[BIG]] enough to see them now, and being able to see them is somehow worse than before, when he could only suspect they were there. It's simultaneously confirmation of his worst fears and a disappointment that he's so far failed to actually be free. It's glorious.

Why is 1:54 so unironically badass? I actually wish that ending scene went on a little bit longer. That was so spine chilling awesome, I actually felt ready for a fight after those stage lights dropped, with the song amping up in the background. This the type of thing that calls for an entire fight scene now.

I love it because it's like Spamtom didn't even consider betraying Kris until he realised a Soul was what he needed.

Can I just add, I don't think enough people mention the fact that when Spamton says "I need Y O U ", the lens has a single frame with Rick Astley, referencing "Never Gonna Give You Up", and I can't begin to explain how clever that is.

This 100% captures why I was terrified of stop motion animation as a kid even though I'm pretty sure this is CGI. The lighting, tones, textures, and snappy animation with the follow-through is perfect

God, this does a really incredible job at depicting just how menacing Spamton NEO's debut is, even if he does look like the result of 6 different failed MS Paint projects being fused into one in-game Phenomenal work with this animation, gotta say!

The hearts in his eyes when he says "you" and how he says "with me" and refers to how both of you will reach past the darkness, combined with how you're both puppets more or less makes me think he genuinely thinks he is your buddy trying to make a go of it with you, not just victimize you. He even says in the fight if you want to be just a heart on a chain.
