What starter Pokemon are you choosing?
  • @uredbulldawg
5:32 John: “Aww, you gotta give me a little bit more…” The Pokémon Company: “I don’t recall saying we were done…”
  • This Pokémon direct definitely blew my expectations out of the water, looking forward to Gen 9!
  • @anoobis9881
Sprigatito- means little cat in spanish fuecoco- starts with fuego Quaxly- looks like spain ducks also has ducks that quack
  • @bagetiquette_
anyone notice how lucario has fur, seviper has scales, and magnemite looks like metal now?
  • @allura9163
Considering my immediate reaction when the starter picture lit up was "KITTY!" I think I know which one I'm picking. There goes my streak of always loving the fire starter the most every gen
  • I'm honestly not too worried about the graphics, it's still not final at this point, and it's already looking gorgeous :D
  • @HoodieHorizon
This is the first region since hoenn that is actually making me seriously question which starter I want
  • @legumester8783
I love how the game being released later this year is a bigger shock for people than gen 9
  • I’m honestly freaking out right now, I mean Gen 9 already? I’ve always been a Tododile fan, so I’m probably gonna pick the crocodile in honour of him I also saw Bounsweet in the trailer, so I’m gonna use one in honour of the one I used in my first ever Pokemon game, which was Sun
  • @Cinesta76
You are too wholesome. Your enthusiasm and excitement makes me smile. Looking forward to seeing more of you enjoying the next gen. Oh and I'd probably go for the fire starter. Not sure why, but he looks like he could become something totally awesome.
  • @dgchvz
Literally blown away. Haven’t seen a Pokémon game and immediately think it looks AMAZING in so long.
  • @Wildcatt1999
I'm kind of torn between Quaxly and Sprigatito, but I'm more leaning towards Quaxly.
  • @himankdhawan778
can we appreciate that the game character is fighting a starapter with a wurmple
  • @Juniverse0
You‘re definitely right about the Pokemon looking crisper. Seviper actually has scales now at 7:36 and Magnemite looks metallic.
  • @virtualcolt
If people say the graphics in this game look terrible, THEY ARE ARE BLIND, THE GRAPHICS ARE BEAUTIFUL, YOU CAN EVEN SEE SEVIPER'S SCALES.
  • @Taiokarlo
"They put a hat on a duck and I'm sold" comedy gold, John!
  • Honestly, I actually really like the way that the next generation is looking so far. It seems to be running in the PLA engine with some improved textures for the Pokémon, and if that's the case it's going to be pretty good! Hopefully. I feel like PLA was a test bed for ideas and building the engine itself, so that's nice. It'll be great to have a fully controllable camera in the cities and towns, as well as the ability to freely explore the routs. What I'm going to assume is that they're going to handle each rout like the different areas in PLA, where each is their own self contained 'level', but you can freely explore like in PLA. As for the starters, I need that grass cat. I don't care that Grass is objectively the worst typing, I just like cats ok? Fire crockodile is cute too, but the water starter reminds me of Ducklett. Not a bad thing, but not the first time we've seen a 'duckling' pokemon.

Okay but his genuinely ecstatic reaction made me smile, so wholesome, and I reacted almost the exact same way for the most part
