I remember the number of fights with kids in random alleys in south central back in the 90s. I grew up in Alhambra. My dad owned an audio and video store in Lynwood. Back then, it was true that if you stumbled on the wrong neighborhood by foot, a few cholos will come up and ask where you from. I also had asian feature's so the name calling was given. Fight started our with them asking what was in my bag I was holding. It was from food for less (but It was toys from burger king and a few snacks I got) and they took the bag and they started going for my pockets to check for money and I swung at them and I got into a fight with their biggest homie. Then a group of asian's came over and shooed them away. they asked if I was ok. I said yeah. 30 seconds later, the asian gang took my shit. Ah... the 90s
