In this video, I’ll show you how to replace the string trimmer head for the trimmer included in the combo package "EGO POWER+ 2-Piece 56-Volt Cordless Power Equipment Combo Kit", which was featured in a previous review video. The Ego website shows that the head for this trimmer is obsolete, but upon further investigation, it in fact DOES have a drop-in replacement that is simply not shown on the EGO site (unless you keep looking further). You will also see just how easily it is to re-load these new heads with trimmer string! Cost for head was approx $36 on Amazon.

The unit shown is the “EGO Power+ String Trimmer” model# ST1500SF
This trimmer was included in combo package “EGO POWER+ 2-Piece 56-Volt Cordless Power Equipment Combo Kit”, Item #2546200 (which also included a blower/charger/battery)

As mentioned in video, if you want to replace just the worn "Lower Housing Bump Cap" , then you need "2826636001 Lower Housing Bump Cap Assembly for AH1530 Trimmer Heads", check Google for vendors & pricing, currently $20 or less if you want to replace just that part.

    Great video, thanks. Luckily, I was able to repair my perforated trimmer head with "shoe goo". After very little use, my trimmer head perforated similar to yours, but luckily all the support columns were still in tact. The patio really grinds that thin plastic head down in no time. Anyway, I think the shoe goo is actually an upgrade to a new head, and can be re-applied as it wears. I'll be more careful around the patio in the future too.
