    I've never heard about this! Those poor girls suffering on the ship, not having skin protection then being accused of being vampires.
  • I think it is hilarious that people have spent 300 years trying to convince people that these tragic women were really vampires. I am a can trace my lineage back to one of these women who arrived with a "casquette" or small chest. But after the French and Spanish gave up their claim on New Orleans, the Americans who came later were too damn thick to understand that the word in french for coffin is definitely not "casquette"
