I have both Epix pro 51mm and Samsung Ultra. The battery life of Epix is so much better, however, Ultra watch faces is gorgeous and interactive.

It would be great if you could do a few runs with the Garmin on one wrist and the Samsung Ultra on the other. That way you could provide a direct comparison between GPS accuracy and heart rate comparison.

Thanks for the video... I've had several Garmins and today I use a Watch 5 Pro, along with the smartphone functions you're able to perform on it. I was thinking about buying an Epix 2 Pro mainly for the "body battery" function I missed, but now Samsung has brought it to the 7 Ultra (it will come for the 5 Pro too later), now I'm seriously thinking about staying at Samsung.

Very informative and helpful video! I currently have a Garmin Tactix 7 pro and for the most part I love it. I am not an elite athlete, but I do exercise regularly and use my Garmin for hiking. The biggest feature keeping me from switching is the offline topo maps on the Garmin. Do you know if the Galaxy Ultra can utilize any offline mapping during hikes? I am interested in the Android integration, but I don't want to give up too much of the navigation functionality by switching. Thanks!!

Thanks for the video! Can you tell us what is the name of the watch face you put on your epix 2? I love it and I didnā€™t find it in Connect!
  • Thank you for talking about the fitness. I have the Garmin Epix 2 but Im feeling like im over training with Garmin and trying to earn badges šŸ˜‚ i really like this Ultra and I like the fact that Samsung does trade ins and Garmin stopped with them so im going to try the Ultra. ā¤

Great video! I mainly cycle/swim and the occasional hike or walk. My bike computer takes care of the cycling part, and I am currently using a Suunto Race S for swimming/walking and health data. Works great. BUT, I miss having the "smartwatch features" that an Apple Watch or Galaxy watch offers with dedicated LTE service. Might have to give the new Ultra a try. Ty for posting the vid.
  • Hi thanks for the video. I'm in thr garmin ecosystem. Wondering when doing activities on thr Samsung if you can use the buttons on the side for start/stop/lap.
  • I already have galaxy watch 4 and its running smoothly. Should i upgrade to galaxy ultra or buy an whoop band instead ? Confused

How long is the battery life on both watches?

How do you handle data management between Samsung health and Garmin? I don't think Samsung health syncs with Garmin. I have a withings smartwatch and Samsung health does sync with that

I liked how i could tell if i was getting sick on the garmin stress tracker. Tactix is an awesome watch, but I would have loved if it at least had the ability to take a call on it or type out a text reply on it.
